By Your Holy Spirit, cause us to be fruitful in this good work of praying for our United States military and for this Republic.
We pray Your Word today, which never returns to you void.
Psalm 62:
Truly our souls silently wait for God;
From Him comes my salvation.
You only are our rock and my salvation;
You are our defense;
We shall not be greatly moved.
How long, enemies, will you attack us?
You shall be slain, all of you,
Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.
They only consult to cast us down from our high position (in Christ and His kingdom);
You delight in lies;
You bless with your mouths,
But you curse inwardly. Selah
Soul, wait silently for God alone,
For our expectation is from Him.
He only is our rock and our salvation;
He is our defense;
We shall not be moved.
In God is our salvation and our glory;
The rock of our strength,
And our refuge, is in God.
We trust in Him at all times,
We pour out our hearts before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah
Surely men of low degree are a vapor,
Men of high degree are a lie;
If they are weighed on the scales,
They are altogether lighter than vapor.
(Because of our Great God), we do not trust in oppression,
God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God.
Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
Thank You, Sir, that our sins and iniquities You remember no more. We trust in Your grace and mercy alone today, Sir, and give You thanks in Jesus name. Amen.
Come and let us put our trust in God today for our military and for our Nation
Amen to your beautiful prayer and Psalm for Our Beloved American heroes and Our Nation.
When a friend started making random despairing statements, people were concerned for him and started giving advice and offering encouragement. As it turned out, he was simply having fun by quoting song lyrics out of context to start a conversation. Friends who tried to help wasted their time by offering help he didnt need and advice he didnt want. The consequences of my friends misleading statements were not serious, but they could have been. In taking time to respond to his false need, someone could have neglected someone elses truly serious need.
Some people who take words out of context just want to gain attention or win an argument. But others are more sinister. They twist truth to gain power over others. They endanger not only lives but also souls.
When people use words to manipulate others to behave in certain waysor worse, when they quote the Bible out of context to convince others to do wrongtheres only one defense: We need to know what God truly says in His Word. Jesus was able to resist temptation with the truth (Luke 4). We have the same resource. God has given us His Word and Spirit to guide us and keep us from being deceived or misled.

Praying with you for our Heroes and our beloved Nation.

Psalm 33 8-22
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
From heaven the Lord looks down
and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth
he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
Joining in prayer for our nation and our heroes.
May the Good Lord in Heaven give us mercy and outpour His grace.
THANK YOU for praying and agreeing together with me.
Amen.
Amen.
Psalm 62:7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. . . Acts 2:26 I am glad and my tongue is full of joy. My body rests in hope.
Thank YOU LORD for this assurance: Hebrews 4:9 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,, our SALVATION rests in YOUR finished work, our Glory rests in YOUR GLORIOUS VICTORY over sin and death, our Might rests in the ALMIGHTY ARM of our CREATOR, our bodies rest as we await the call and our resurrected one. OH LORD, YOU ARE the LORD of the SABBATH, AMEN.
Dear LORD, help us not to covet this rest and turn it into sloth. Recharge YOUR PEOPLE and YOUR CHURCH and this Nation in light of all that is up against us who speak TRUTH and LOVE YOUR WORD. The call to legalize sin is so loud. Forgive us.
OH LORD, I pray for our American Heroes. Thank YOU for the times when they get relief from their work and come home to rest with their loved ones. May their time of refreshment come from both them and YOU. May they keep YOU close to their hearts with tongues of JOY and THANKSGIVING. And LORD, for those who struggle with stress, sorrow, confusions, and pains, may YOUR PRESENCE be for them what they cannot find in themselves. Amen.
AMEN. A wonderful sermon, too, Jeanbl. Thank you.
