Heavenly Father –

Thank You for sending Your Son to pay the price in full for our sins as we are spiritually bankrupt and incapability of redeeming ourselves. Thank You for not leaving Your Son in the grave, but raising Him up on the third day, a promise that You will raise up our bodies from the dead in the last days.

During this Holy Week, may we take comfort remembering the confluence of events from Good Friday to Easter that resulted in the greatest eucatastrophe of human history – the seeming defeat of the cross turned into the triumph of the resurrection.

May America be turned upside down by the power of the resurrection. May the seeming defeats of heavenly causes be turned to victories with the divine touch of Your nail-pierced hands. May the wrath of man praise You (Psalm 76:10).

Keep the defenders of our nation in Your tender care. Thank You for the gift of Eternal Life and fitting us for Heaven so we may enjoy fellowship with God, forever.

The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
