MOSCOW, April 2 (RIA Novosti) - A court in south Russia has banned as “extremist” a book entitled “How to Accept Islam,” officials said on Tuesday.
The Krasnoyarsk district court ordered all copies of the book to be confiscated and destroyed.
Investigators, citing linguistic experts, said the book, by Muhammad Suleiman Ashkara, encouraged religious hatred.
The court said the book was discovered during a May 2011 raid at the Krasnoyarsk home of a man suspected of links to an extremist Islamic organization.

In the US, any book on “How to NOT accept Islam” would probably suffer the same fate.
Russian elected officials doing the job that Americans won’t do.
Krasnoyarskiy Krai is in Siberia. Krasnodarskiy Krai is in the South of Russia. Why is there no town mentioned. A Krai is similar to a State. It would be like reporting that a California district court banned something, without giving details. Very shoddy reporting.
Remember when the USA wasn’t so weak and fearful of its own shadow. A country that says “Hell no” to crap like this exudes confidence. This is not a confident country anymore. It’s weak and divided.
If genuine for that purpose, it is a declaration that Russia will be superior to Islam, and will not allow Islamic subversion of the state, more than it is censorship of free speech.
