“Medicine” helps no one.

Tell that to a diabetic who forgets to take his insulin.

Also, are you saying that his faith was just not strong enough?

Very cliche, but not scriptural.

Sanctification is the only thing that brings healing.

Type 1 diabetes is a self rejection disorder that requires confession, and repentance of that self hatred. Insulin is a bandaid that will never bring healing.

The proper medication helps. So much can go wrong with the brain, we don't understand yet...the old "the devil made me do it" is stupid. People fear mental illness because it causes the person to act "different"....there are times when prayer doesn't help. I'd take a good doctor and medication over nothing but praying any day of the week...

It seems there a quite a few judgemental christians on freerepublic and they judge without any real knowledge...I remember someone saying "judge not least you be judged". And you gave a perfect example of insulin for diabetics...As a nurse I have seen those that did not take it serious until they had to have a foot or leg amputated...
