I have no clue when Papa’s earthly days will end but I will say this:

Lord, let your will be done. Grant him peace & comfort, and thank you for the gift of Benedict. I ask that you reward him with eternal life.

I love & miss my German Shephard. :-(

Uh....yeah....we're Catholics. Catholic Freepers (and some non-Catholic ones, too) like to know about that sort of stuff.

Post your own news, if you've got any, and stop whining about ours.

As do I. A wonderful man. He had to follow some very big footsteps and did an excellent job. The media is acting like Pope Francis is the first pope to be humble and care about the poor. Pope Benedict and John Paul II were both humble, holy men.

Stop flooding the forum with this nonsense.

Stop flooding the forum with your tears. You have no news of your own so you're reduced to whining about those who do.

Pathetic.

And who appointed you official arbiter of what constitutes "nonsense"? If you don't like it, clear off and leave it to those who find it pertinent and interesting.

Nonsense:

Benedict is dying.
No he isn’t
Yes he is.
You lie.
Well he has a raspy cough.
Pope says “I’m not dead yet”

I don’t need to be the arbiter. It is self evidently nonsense.

Yes, yes, wonderful, brilliant holy men; we were very fortunate indeed!

THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10
