During a Mass to formally take possession of one of the Vatican basilicas in Rome, Francis said ordinary Catholics need to “see in our actions what they hear from our lips.” …

“Inconsistency on the part of pastors and the faithful between what they say and what they do, between word and manner of life, is undermining the church’s credibility,” he said. …

I do cheer for Pope Francis, pastor of the world. Who else's sermons get quoted like this by AP?

Just you wait until he comes down like Martel's Hammer on the homosexualists. At that point, expect a media Jihad against him as an Enemy of All that is Good, True and Fabulous.

Our Pastor would say: hate the sin, love the sinner; go and sin no more.

Shouldn’t be too hard. They usually say something like: “God loves you. Have a nice day. Remember to sign up for direct donation online.” So, they’ll have a nice day, remembering that God loves them, and signing up for a modest, but ongoing, donation.

Yup, the Philipine priests are already doing that. We just need some gutsy priests here in the US. But they should expect to be pilloried — not just by the left but also by some “haf-dem-caflix” freepers who will say “how can you deny folks that?”
