Poll shows anti-Jewish sentiment among youth in Poland's capital. 44% don't want a Jewish neighbor.
Anti-Semitism is high among teenagers in the Polish capital, according to an opinion survey conducted in the run-up to Friday's 70th anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising, the AFP news agency reports.
The poll of students from 20 Warsaw high schools, published Tuesday, found that 44 percent of respondents said they would be unhappy to have a Jewish neighbor.
In the survey of 1,250 students commissioned by the Jewish Community of Warsaw, the Homo Homini polling institute also found that two in five said they would not like to have a Jewish classmate, and 61 percent said they would be upset if their partner turned out to be a Jew.

Why did the Jews "choose" to live in Poland? For the same reason they "chose" to live in almost every country in the world after they were led in chains from the Holy Land.
The Jews *did* choose to live in Poland in large numbers, because Poland (before it was divided and taken over in the 18th C) was more tolerant toward Jews than were most other European nations.
What Europeans understand now is irrelevant. Hatred has been handed down through generations. It is part of the fabric of Europe.

I've just been there too, and he apparently hasn't updated the site in over a year. That's bad. We really need him in this battle. Maybe he's abandoned this site for others to get his message across?

That may be, but in our country where Jews are free to spread the message of the Noachide Laws they should certainly do so (isn't that one reason they were scattered among the nations to begin with?). As a former chrstian myself I simply don't feel free to throw in the towel and wait for Mashiach HaMelekh when the great moral turmoil of our age would otherwise attract more people back to false religions that have failed time and time again in the past.
My feelings for the Catholic Church are no secret, but at least symbolically they represent a claim to objective religious and moral truth, which is why the left attacks them. Unfortunately, the Nation of Israel which has been entrusted with the mission of being a "light unto the nations" (which means to bring them to a knowledge of G-d, not to "civilize" them with liberal "enlightenment" values) are never associated in the common mind with religious truth or even a claim of religious truth. They are associated only and always with the most extreme form of religious subjectivism as if the one and only Jewish "value" were an abstract "freedom of religion." I'm sorry, but that must change.
When the churches fall (and it's only a question of time) we cannot abandon ourselves to nihilistic moral anarchy. `Am Yisra'el must be there as a symbol to the whole world, not of eighteenth century political philosophy, but of G-d and Objective Truth.

I am not a "Poland hater." I merely point out the unfortunate fact that chrstianity in its more historical forms (apart from American Judaeophilic reconstructionism) has never been a friend of Jews, and that includes Poland. I believe that Jews were being killed in Poland as late as 1946. Please feel to correct me if I'm wrong.
If Jews feel more comfortable in contemporary Poland I am glad of it, though I still think Jews should live in 'Eretz Yisra'el now that it is available rather than a continent that has historically been such a nightmare for them.
The affinity of the Jews for Poland in former times is well known. Even the Hebrew name of the country--Polonya--was punned as "G-d lives here."

I've always wondered why Poland of all European nations is singled out as an object of hatred by so many Jews. While there is no denying that Polish anti-Semitism existed (and still exists), Poles were certainly not any worse than many of their neighbors. It probably just has to do with an old historical prejudice on the part of Jews with ancestors from Poland: they need some group of Gentiles to be a scapegoat.
