Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:10 (NIV)
Keep your lives free from the love of money
and be content with what you have,
because God has said,
Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you
Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
Be assured that in turbulent times,
You will never walk alone
Please feel free to check out clip below
of that promise
as sung by Sissel
There is so much sadness in this world so much that if we knew the extent, it would drive us insane. But through the temporary trials, we never walk alone. You are always with us, whether we feel it or not. May You comfort all who mourn and guide those who are searching for their way through the storms of life.
May all Gods people have a heart for repentance. May Your Spirit bring revival in our land and turn us back to Your Holy Word to guide us during dark days.
Protect our brave men and women, home and abroad, who put themselves in harms way to keep us safe. May You put a hedge of protection around all Your people, who reflect Your light in this dark, insane world. May we accomplish Your purpose till You call us home.
In Jesus Name,
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

God gave me that scripture the day after 9/11.
The following Wednesday night I was tasked with teaching the 6-11 yr olds. I knew the Lord wanted me to have the children search the Bible for the word “fear”, because so many times, God said, “Fear Not; Do Not Fear; Have No Fear, etc.”
I wanted them to get the message that God had a response to 9/11, if they would choose to listen.
The surprise came when I stepped in front of the class to teach the lesson. The moment the first word came out of my mouth, it was loud and so full of authority - it startled me. My co-teacher sitting at the back of the room leaned into the aisle and with her eyes wide, gave me a thumbs up.
After we went through it one time, I also taught the children to make it personal .. it only took them a couple of times until they were able to make the prayer their own. For months, most of the students would comment to me how much they used that scripture to keep from being afraid.
Several years later, one of the children who had been in my class - was diasnosed with lukemia. when I went to see her in the hospital, I took her another copy of the scripture. I wrote it very large so she could hang it on the wall in order to see it all the time. Her reaction surprised me because everybody else brought her some kind of gift .. but I brought her a piece of paper. However, she was so happy to get the scripture, she started crying and kept thanking me over and over. She survived that attack and has been free of the disease.
I even used the scripture myself 3 years ago when I fell and broke my ankle, and shattered all the bones in my left foot. It was not the only scripture I used, but it’s still one of my favorites. I’m walking without a cane, and feel incredibly blessed to know how much God cares about us.
That is quite a testimony, Cyberant. I can see this story in one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.
Those verses also are in the hymn - How Firm a Foundation. That is the theme song of my favorite Bible radio program - Thru the Bible with Dr. J. Vernon McGee.
I’m glad you can walk and got through your trauma.
Take care and God Bless
