It’s simple. They either play the game or they lose their tax status. And considering the government has stripped the church of it’s power/other roles in America, from their work in hospitals to adoption, the only thing left is cold hard cash.
As it stands, DEMONSTRABLY, The church has been religated to a mouthpiece of the political left. Either through pushing immigration/gun control, or it’s silence on abortion and homosexuality. Sure they say it’s wrong. But are they holding their people accountable? Nope. And that plays perfectly into the politics of it all.
And for those reading the thread, yes I am being hard on the church. Before anyone calls me the antichrist, ask yourselves if what I posted is backed up by what they see around them daily or not.
Francis facilitated communion for Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi at his first Vatican mass. He could easily have stopped it but he didn’t.
A week or so, later Biden received the sacranment from Archbishop Timothy Dolan and the two of them yucked it up afterwords.
Now the Pope has decided to crack-down in Argentina. Why just Argentina? Is that some kind of hotbed for miscreant Catholics?
So far this Pope is a phoney on this whole issue.
Fine job there Francis.
NOT!
what kind of follow up do you suggest? Don’t you know that all these sinners know they are doing wrong and it eats at them and that is enough?
It is the clarification of right and wrong that convicts them that is important
God bless the Pope.
Playing a game does not explain the connection between Catholics and the democrat party.
If the Catholics do not play along, The parishes get audited. If they continue to oppose Big Brother, they get their tax status changed and parishes close.
Nonsense, Christians of non-catholic denominations are die hard opposition to the democrat party and they survive.
Very good.
Ah, he's "beta testing" it!
Incorrect. The vast majority of those in the ECUSA, ELCA, northern baptists, unitarians etc. voted Dem, so they are not die-hard opposition. Even among those calling themselves evangelicals 11 million voted for the dems.
No, I was correct, unlike the Catholics who are a democrat voting denomination, Protestants as a whole have only gone democrat 3 times, and the last time for that was 49 years ago, Evangelicals for instance voted 80% republican while the Catholics were voting for Obama again.
Catholics don’t support democratic politics because of fear of retribution.
No, you are wrong. The Protestants you are not including are the ECUSA, ELCA and the northern baptists and the like
OK, Catholics do support the democrat agenda because they fear crack downs, since the majority of Protestants vote against the democrats and always have, the majority of them do not, I don’t know what a northern baptist is, or how they vote, but if you want to say that them and some other denominations are also afraid of democrat retaliation and so they support Obama and the democrat party like the Catholics do, great, I don’t care.
you are wrong. the majority of those like the ECUSA etc. voted Obama and always vote democrat. Check the Baptist groups in New york for your edification
Well, I’m not wrong about the majority of Catholics voting democrat, I’m not wrong about the majority of protestants voting republican, and I don’t think that I’m wrong when I point out that the Catholics don’t vote pro-abortion liberal because they fear a crackdown from the democrat party. Lord knows the Evangelicals and Protestants don’t.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Episcopalians vote like the Catholics, I think they are the next thing to being Catholic, in fact when one of them wants to change churches they switch to Catholic or become a Catholic Priest or something, but I would like to see the source for the national ECUSA vote numbers that you claim to know.
“Pope Francis, please send a similar note to all the Bishops of the United States.”
Yes!
And you might not have heard yet that Pope Francis sent a strong pro-life message by joining 40,000 pro-lifers in the March for Life in Italy.
I hope CINOs, who are pro-”choice: are inspried by this!
