Sister Megan Rice of the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity was reportedly found guilty of two felonies related to her breaking into a nuclear weapons production facility in Tennessee.
Sentencing for the Villanova and Boston College graduate is expected to take place later this week. Sister Megan could face up to thirty year in the joint. In the past, she's spent 6 months in jail for her "protests.
It seems that Sister, along with two other "activists" cut through the chain link fence, illegally entered the property, caused damage to the tune of over $1,000. And reportedly splashed human blood on the walls.Some little bit of good news is that she painted biblical messages on the walls of the building which holds 400 tons of highly enriched uranium.

The intrusion triggered a two-week shutdown of operations at Y-12 — a Department of Energy site that is overseen by the National Nuclear Security Administration and operated and managed by private contractors — and prompted four congressional hearings on nuclear security and a shake up in the U.S. nuclear security enterprise.Hilariously, the Washington Post wrote a piece on Sister Megan and her two co-defendants called "The Prophets of Oak Ridge." The New York Times called their story "A Nun's Bold Fervor."

While I'm certainly no supporter of the protesters, it sounds as if those responsible for security at the plant are every bit as guilty of threatening national security.

What if she tried that act on Iran’s nuclear weapons plants. She be swinging from a crane, without any publicity.
Don’t these nuns have anything more constructive to do than do these senseless protests that accomplish nothing? Couldn’t they pray for peace or literally go out into the streets and directly help the homeless and suffering?

Part of the reason I don’t go to church is having to listen to the “awe, so sad” social issues rather then engage in the worship of God. It seems today that everywhere you go it’s the victim mentality of “awe, the poor this, the poor that.” And then there are the rest of us who are either to blame or contribute to the problem of these poor victims...many who are not truly victims. People’s perception has gone askew...
If you google the community, you find their web site includes a link entitled Meet the Sisters. Not only are these sisters all white haired, the link includes photos with dates of death. How truly sad that these sisters have spent so many decades spinning their wheels on social justice issues rather than worshiping God.
Might be worth the the trip to TN to mock these foolish morons...
Attending mass is not about the homily, it is about worshiping God. By not attending, the person most hurt is yourself for you deny yourself reception of our Lord, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.
So why is the Pope picking on the sisters? Because their umbrella organization is run by a bunch of commie lesbos.
