I don’t recall having ever seen an epistolarium in a Catholic church ... many around here use an evangelarium (book of the Gospels) but proclaim the First Reading, Psalm, and Second Reading from the standard Lectionary.

The closest I have come to a Solemn High Mass (all sung) is the ordinartion of our new Archbishop here in Oregon...Archbishop Sample is very conservative and the music was extremely conservative, but there was no singing of the Epistle in Latin, that’s for sure!
