World leaders should unite to end anti-Christian persecution, Vladimir Putin says

Vladimir Putin has urged the world’s political leaders to stop the violent persecutions against Christians that have erupted in many Middle Eastern countries.

Speaking at a meeting with Orthodox Christian leaders in Moscow last week, the Russian President said he noted “with alarm” that “in many of the world’s regions, especially in the Middle East and in North Africa inter-confessional tensions are mounting, and the rights of religious minorities are infringed, including Christians and Orthodox Christians.”

“This pressing problem should be a subject of close attention for the entire international community,” Putin said. “It is especially important today to make efforts to prevent intercultural and interreligious conflicts, which are fraught with the most serious upheavals.”

Putin praised the growth of cooperation between the Orthodox Churches and the Russian state, saying, “We act as genuine partners and colleagues to solve the most pressing domestic and international tasks, to implement joint initiatives for the benefit of our country and people.”

The Russian Federation recently passed legislation making it illegal to promote homosexuality as normal, a move that, while condemned by many European leaders, was strongly supported by the Orthodox Church.

Hard to believe the day would ever come when the leader of Russia cares more about Christians' freedom than the President of the United States does.

Any chance Putin can enlist Bareback in this crusade?

We have got to be in the evil parallel universe.
Not only does Putin care more about Christians than the U.S. President, but the U.S. President is preoccupied with spreading homosexuality across the world.

But I’m liking Putin more and more. Maybe he can claim to have been born in Hawaii. It’s not like he’d ever have to prove it.

Hopefully he has had a true conversion to Christianity. Even the hardest of hearts can be touched.

Putin praises Russia's Muslims - July 10, 2013 - President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of greetings to Russia's Muslim community in connection with the start of Ramadan.

"This period of fasting, which is sacred for the entire Umma, is a tradition that has its roots in the distant past and is a reminder of the need to be merciful and tolerant, to do more good works, and to care for people," Putin said in his message, the text of which is posted on the website of his office.

"We are justifiably proud of the outstanding Muslims who have made an invaluable contribution to the strengthening of Russia and to the defense of its independence and sovereignty, and have done a great deal for peace and harmony in our multiethnic society."

"I am sure that Russian Muslims will continue to take part in the development of our common native country and help build a powerful, prosperous and modern nation," the president said.

Meanwhile he hasn’t stopped helping Iran, the biggest state sponsor of Islamic terrorism and one of the greatest sources of Christian persecution, build their nukes. More than just disingenuous when he talks out of both sides of his mouth.

You would NEVER have heard a Russian / Communist say this EVER in the past. He’s sounding a lot more conservative and patriotic than our own president. And you wonder why Russia’s is once again ascending as one of the top world leaders.

It’s easier to understand why Snowden asked for Russian asylum.

Hey, how about the Christians being persecuted right here in the Islamocommunist banana republic of America?

In that Barry is arming the people who killed Russian school kids at Beslan, I would say ‘slim to none’.
Ever wonder why the Russians wouldn’t shake his hand in that youtube? That was it. It would be like Zero arming al Qaeda after September 11, 2001. Oh yeah, he’s done that too as well as recently sending 500 million tax dollars to the Palestinians who cheered that day.
Raising the question, who does Putin have more contempt for: our Muslim pResident. Or us.

Even weirder, there actually IS a lot of truth in Pravda. I do believe that I may have slipped a cranch factor and am now living in a universe that is parallel to the one that I did previously (or was that my imagination?).

Maybe that super collider at CERN really DID do something weird when they fired it up...! But how can we tell?

Amazing isn't it? I never thought I would ever live to see the day.

This is such an incredible about-face that we have been witnessing recently that I can hardly help wondering how it fits into the progressive’s plans. My amazement began a year ago with Russia Today broadcasting daily hard-hitting Austrian economic analysis (since discontinued - check YouTube for Capital Account videos), and now Putin is trying to reclaim Russia’s historic self-assigned role as protectors of Christianity, with a side order of defending our Fourth Amendment whistleblower. Perhaps hoping that conservatives will eventually accept Russian troops here, which would be impossible now? After the amazing and so far unsuccessful attempts to disarm America and prepare a local SS, perhaps they simply now see that they will need to import them?

“OK, Barack, you’ve screwed up Good Cop completely. You are now Bad Cop; I’ll be Good Cop.”

Putin is certainly referring to the anti-Christian persecution in Ubama’s US military.

Boy I’ll say! People can change, seriously. For a guy who was trained to be a soul-less killer for the KGB this would be a big step. Still, I’m wary of Old Vlad.

Putin must really want to put Obozo to shame for some strange reason because he is doing a good job of it.
