Raise Young to Respect Other Faiths, Pope Says in Message to Muslims
The Catholic Herald (UK) ^ | 8/2/13

Posted on 08/02/2013 8:05:08 PM PDT by marshmallow

Muslims and Christians must raise young people “to think and speak respectfully of other religions and their followers, and to avoid ridiculing or denigrating their convictions and practices”, Pope Francis has said.

In a personal message to the world’s Muslims to mark the end of Ramadan, the Pope said: “Turning to mutual respect in inter-religious relations, especially between Christians and Muslims, we are called to respect the religion of the other, its teachings, its symbols, its values. Particular respect is due to religious leaders and to places of worship. How painful are attacks on one or other of these!

“It is clear that, when we show respect for the religion of our neighbours or when we offer them our good wishes on the occasion of a religious celebration, we simply seek to share their joy, without making reference to the content of their religious convictions.

“Regarding the education of Muslim and Christian youth, we have to bring up our young people to think and speak respectfully of other religions and their followers, and to avoid ridiculing or denigrating their convictions and practices.

“We all know that mutual respect is fundamental in any human relationship, especially among people who profess religious belief. In this way, sincere and lasting friendship can grow.”

**This pope forgets what Muslims have done to all non-Muslims for over 1,400 years.**

I doubt that. Have you ever heard of the great Catholic miracle that kept Europe from speaking Arabic. Too bad it's not happening these days.

He created ALL in His image but many wanted their own image so they sought out ‘religion’ and made it their god. A flavor for every taste.

The others have a relationship with The Father because they want to know God and all about HIM and the imagine they represent. And through His Word they get to know Him more and more and never stop until they are face to face with Him and they will be. His Word is written on their hearts. His seal is on them.

Why did God make us?
God made us to show forth His goodness and to share with us His everlasting happiness in heaven.

Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what things God has prepared for those who love him. (I Corinthians 2:9)

Pre-Vatican Ii the Popes referred to Islam as “Demonic” as well as the condemnation of Freemasonry. Truth is supposed to be the object of the CC—and saving souls——not teaching kids to respect evil. It blurs truth—and destroy Reason——forcing chldren to “respect” evil....an occult which kills, treat women like cattle, and advocates lying to anyone who is not of their “faith”.

Since Vatican II-—the CC just blurs the Truth-—it is getting rather sickening. We should get an Abp. Fulton Sheen back, at least.....sickening to watch the collapse of Reason and Faith by wishy-washy statements that wreak of multiculturalism/ecumenicalism (Marxism)-—like the girl “altar” boys. Absolutely sickening...... Just going along to allow the destruction of sexual identity in children and eliminate Reason/Truth.

There is a war between Truth (God) and Lies (Marxism/islam/occultism (Satan/Man).......as Whittaker Chambers stated in 52-—he was SO correct.

"But Francis wanted to give his message a more personal touch as a sign of special attention to his Muslim brothers, so he signed it in person: “This year, the first of my Pontificate, I have decided to sign this traditional message myself and to send it to you, dear friends, as an expression of esteem and friendship for all Muslims, especially those who are religious leaders,” the Pope wrote."

Your Eminence how do you venerate a man who was a war monger,a murderer , a thief , a liar and a pedophile? A man who claimed to be a prophet of a God yet performed no miracles , healed no sick, made no blind see and resurrected no dead. Mohammed was a monster and Islam has as it's core values sexual perversion and violence. All due respect Holy Father but you're an idiot.

The Pope need only to compare the life Our Lord and Savior lived to the one Mohammed lived.

Let me remind you from His Word. What God DID has no bearing on how many weren't interested in what HE DID. GOD is GOOD and 'man is wicked' And MANY don't even take HIS Word as their final authority! And they expect heaven in return? LOL! I see no thought went into that one.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For WIDE is the gate and broad is the road that leads to DESTRUCTION, and MANY enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to LIFE, and ONLY a FEW find it."

Seems like your pope wants all on one WIDE road. Enjoy it. For there are only two roads, not many like 'religions' are. All religions are man made and they are on one wide and broad road together.

Meanwhile, the 'few' are on the narrow road to JESUS ALONE. And I'm enjoying it now and will for eternity.

Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what things God has prepared for those who love him

No one can say they love Jesus who is The Word if HIS Word is not their final authority.

No man can serve two masters.

And the words your pope spoke are his words and not God's Words.

They are his thoughts and not God's thought. It is his way and not God's Way.

"For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts."

I knew this would be a hilarious thread to read.

When someone who is literally and explicitly anti-Christ and anti-Christian makes a post that explains how Jesus Christ, God from God, our Lord and Savior, is a fraud, the Usual Suspects don't comment on that article and defend Jesus Christ or Christianity. They just ignore the article that essentially portrays Jesus Christ as someone who was seen as a false prophet and therefore it's reasonable that he was killed for such blasphemy so Christians are just stooges who don't accept the facts about Jesus Christ.

When the Pope tells Mooze Lames to teach their children to respect other faiths, though, you can bet the Usual Suspects appear to slander the Pope, and sooner or later, all things Catholic including individual Catholics.

To any unbiased reader of the Religion Forum, such selective "defense" of Christ and Christianity proves that the crowd who love to attack Catholics don't do so because they care about Christ or Christianity. Were that the case, they would defend clear, direct, attacks on the deity of Jesus Christ by people who regularly state that they believe Jesus Christ was a fraud and not the Son of God who died for our sins. Instead, they make allies of such folks and welcome their help in attacking Catholics and the Catholic Church.

Clearly, they don't feel Christ and Christianity need defended from those who call Jesus Christ a fraud.

Which means such folks only "defend" Jesus Christ and Christianity from those like the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Jesus Christ Himself founded who proclaim, and have for nearly two thousand years proclaimed, that Jesus Christ, God from God, is our only Savior and only hope of Salvation.

Catechism of The Catholic Church Paragraph #571
The Paschal mystery of Christ's cross and Resurrection stands at the center of the Good News that the apostles, and the Church following them, are to proclaim to the world. God's saving plan was accomplished "once for all" by the redemptive death of His Son Jesus Christ.

Pope Francis, in prepping for his own assassination by Islamofascists enraged at words of tolerance, is laying the groundwork for the next conclave. He needs a bit more sophisticated grasp of what networks of criminals acting in the name of Islam are capable of carrying out.

As a Catholic, I will pay attention but reserve judgment as to his opinions on matters that are not dogmatic but I can do without this Kumbaya stuff. He needs to avoid direct interaction with the lame stream media. As Clint Eastwood (Dirty Harry) once said: A man has to know his limitations.

God bless!

A shame that you know so little of the scripture that you have to rely on the “usual suspects” to sort those kinds of people out. I never noticed that thread before, but I just responded to him and will engage the battle. Have fun sitting on the sidelines, I guess. Keep the seat warm.

Maybe Pope Francis knows that the American embassies have been told to close come tomorrow and for the rest of August to be put on a high alert notice.

Also he could be WARNING the Muslims to “clean up their house”, otherwise in the future they could be subjected to an angry violent backlash against them coming from the non-Muslims.
