“Friend of the groom or friend of the groom?”

Instead of throwing rice at the happy couple, throw condoms.

These apostate “churches” may call this “marriage,” but God will have none of this blasphemous behavior.

My guess - dying churches looking to make a “splash” or “change things up” will be losing their congregation at an even faster rate.

Soon to followed by articles on how these “churches” can not afford to even maintain their building anymore.

And their new LGBT members?

Not much support to rebuild from there.

The twist that will come out of all of this is that churches ultimately won’t have a choice in the matter, they either perform gay marriages or they do no marriages at all. If they discriminate they will be shut down. If they do no marriages then no one gets married within their faith.

No real Christian would be a part of any such “church”

One church I'm familiar with, has gained 1,400 new members in the last few months, half of whom are from the homosexual community. They have also lost one-half of their existing membership.

As to donations, the churches with large homosexual members will probably get quite a bit of donations as homosexuals haven't been lacking in money in the past, not having to pay for babies, schools, sports, orthodontists, and college educations.

Not so today, rotten departments of "child welfare" are giving these children to gay couples so they can be families too!

Have the Lutherans consulted God on this ‘redefinition of marriage’, I wonder?

As I recall, His Word has some things to say on the subject.

And the divorce lawyers are out shopping for new boats, jet skis and other toys they will soon be able to afford.

Sacrament! In the Catholic church marriage is a sacrament. I don’t think the Obama/Clinton/Media Alinskyites can touch that one!

I think we would see people married under God without a state marriage certificate

What’s the difference between a ‘blessing ceremony’ and a ‘gay marriage’? Why wouldn’t they just have a marriage ceremony?

The ones I have seen gone “progressive” - gay, gun control, big government, etc.

They gain a few far left parishioners. And some “good” press.

They lose at least half of their core members.

The funny thing - the core members were the ones who would really sacrifice, give up their time, care for the church, put money in the plate while going without.

The new far left members - let’s just say if there is a choice between a sale at their favorite clothing store/new menu at the local left wing restaurant or giving to the church - the church is not getting much (time or treasure).

People know what is the work go God. The Bible in written in plain language. Those bedrock people are the ones who make a church and keep it going.

Not so. I am a pastor of a church, and I don't do all weddings that people ask for, even for heterosexuals. I only do weddings if at least one of the couple is a member in good standing of my congregation, i.e., under my pastoral care. And since homosexuality is a sin, therefore an impenitent homosexual would not be a member in good standing of my congregation.
