n artist has created a sketch of the mysterious "angel priest" who witnesses say appeared at the scene of a Missouri car accident Sunday, anointed and prayed with the teenage victim and then vanished without a trace.

Fox4KC reports Tucson-based artist Randall Sands created the sketch using online face sketch software at facesid.com based on media reports, hoping someone would be able to identify the cleric.

Officials are still scratching their heads over the priest, who they say appeared out of nowhere. Perhaps more mysteriously, the local fire chief said he does not appear in any of 80 photos from the accident scene.

Picture at FoxNews.com article. Is he of heaven or of earth?

Could also be a priest of this world who possibly bilocated.

The sketch should also be shown to those who were involved in the accident in Illinois as well. Same MO...lots of pics but no image and the Priest disappeared. Angels among us. and demons as well.

Why does he need to be identified? Maybe he wouldn’t want to be? Sometimes, mysteries just need to be left mysteries.

The picture at the site does not match Katie’s description. Hmmm.

Why are we spending so much time trying to ID this guy? If an angel, face won’t matter. If a good sam priest and he wants to remain anonymous, why drag him into the spotlight? He ministered well, invoked the Holy Spirit, all resolved.

I don’t get it.

It does not.

I found this from an eyewitness.
Wanda Burr-White, who was at the crash site, remembers the priest well.

“He was dark complected,” she said. “He had an accent, but I’m not sure what nationality. He was probably 5 feet 6 inches maybe. He was not heavy set, but he probably weighed close to 200 pounds. He had dark hair.”

Burr-White and her husband held Katie’s head while rescue workers were trying to extricate her from the car.

Burr-White’s husband added that the priest was wearing black-rimmed glasses and resembled actor Walter Matthau.

KHQA received a composite sketch from Randall Sands with IQ Biometrix that represents what witnesses saw and later described.

Ralls County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Adair was the first responder on the scene of the accident.

He said the above composite does not resemble the priest he saw.

Adair described the priest as being between 60 to 65 years of age, 5’6”, olive skin and had a thick accent.

Adair said the priest was dressed in a traditional black shirt and pants, white collar with a silver, older looking cross around his neck.

Find out what else Adair had to say about what he saw by

Why?

In my opinion, he did good. If he wanted to be identified, he would have come out.

I think we should respect his anonymous good act.

Could also be a priest of this world who possibly bilocated.

In an old book of mine, Off the Beaten Trail, there's a story of Franciscan Priests encountering Native Americans who had built altars, wanted Mass, and had been catechized. The Native Americans described a lady in blue who came from the sky to tell them about Jesus.

At the same time, Mary of Agreda, was telling about her encounters with her Copper Skinned Brothers. She bilocated from her Convent in Spain to New Mexico and Texas over 500 times.

According to the Daily Mail, when the priest arrived, he asked all the first responders to hold hands in a circle and pray for Katie. So they all saw him. What would be interesting is if everyone had a different description.

Was the angel of Highway 19 the saint Padre Pio? Catholics suggest that the priest who’s been dead for 45 years appeared at crash scene to bless and save life of teen victim
Illinois student Katie Lentz, 19, had been pinned inside her Mercedes for over an hour and was fading fast when she asked her rescuers to pray
A priest appeared and began to offer up a blessing - after which emergency workers delivered Katie from the wreck to hospital
When they turned to thank the priest he had vanished
He has still not been identified five days on and many Catholics are speculating the priest could have been none other than Padre Pio

No, unfortunately Waxman is still here. rfp, you're probably just not seeing him in his old Congressional seat. Thanks to more genius gerrymandering he now represents the new 33rd District that stretches and twists from Palos Verdes to Pacific Palisades.

A number of peopls saw this person -- not just one or two. See these two Freerepublic.com threads on this incident:

Holy man appeared from nowhere to pray with trapped girl and rescuers in traffic accident

And this one:

After awful crash with teen trapped, ‘angel’ priest suddenly appears on MO. Hwy

Yes. Quite a few people, though it is unclear the number.

He threw 'oil' (anointing of the sick) on the teenage girl/woman trapped in the car as well as several fire fighters.

One of the Fire figthers was the chief of the New London (Missouri) Fire Department, who was interviewed.

My post previous to this has some other articles on FreeRepublic about this.

Additionally, USA Today had an article on this...

According to histrian Warren Carroll, St. Mary of Agreda's bilocations are the best-documented in history.

But strange. Really strange.

Apparently several people did, because he also anointed some of the rescuers.

He looks more like St. Thomas than like Padre Pio. I looked up some images, and St. Thomas looks like he is traditionally portrayed with flat eyebrows, but often has curly hair. If this guy’s hair was short, you can’t tell if it would grow out curly or not.

someone consult a theologian.
Angels don’t administer sacraments. “A physical sign ...”
Angels don’t deal with the physical even if they take on a physical appearance.
Bilocation is more consistant.

But angels come in disguise.

My priest was pulled back from traffic as he started to cross the street by someone. He would have been hit by a car.

I hoped they would make a sketch. Now someone needs to identify the person.

Why? It would appear that some good Samaritan has decided to make use of the spiritual principle of doing a good deed/act and staying anonymous as an act of humility. Putting the person in the public eye will tarnish the pureness of it. Leave the guy alone, he doesn't need our "help".
