Jesus did refer to sexual immorality as a sin. Every Jew knew what that meant. He didn’t have to cite every scripture condemning homosexuality or any other form of immorality. Paul, on the other hand, was writing to people in the most immoral parts of the Roman Empire, many of whom knew nothing about God’s word beyond the message of salvation. In fact, when Paul was sent out by the Apostles, he was specifically tasked with teaching the Gentiles what the Scriptures said concerning sexual immorality.

If you are a Darwinian, homosexuality makes no evolutionary sense.Yet somehow in today's world that depravity is celebrated.

Of course Jesus mentions homosexuality in the Bible. "Homosexual" is a modern term and isn't going to appear verbatim in a 2000 year old document. But He does make mention of the issue using the language of the time:
Matthew 10:5-7, 14-15
5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the Samaritans, 6 but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim the good news, The kingdom of heaven has come near.... 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town. 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
In this passage, Jesus provides instructions to the disciples. Of course the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexuality. Jesus then notes that it is worse to reject His Word than it is to be a homosexual. Homosexuality is provided, by Jesus, as a standard of what is really bad; rejecting His Word is even worse.

Then we have his sermon on marriage in Matthew 19, which leaves no room for homosexual marriage.

They should have answered that only muslims do something like that.

It didn’t specify where or what. It said “ .....” but then you can argue that Christians are under Grace not Law. But then, can you classify a homosexual person as Christian?

Rome. And Greece. Now THOSE cultures were rife with that stuf.Greece definitely was. Rome, not so much. Sure it existed, but was always considered a vice. When you read about the Emperors who flaunted their homosexuality/bisexuality (Caligula, Nero, Elagabalus, et al) they did so to basically rub the people's noses in it the way gays do today.

Yeah. They are ignorant of the meaning of the original Greek. I went to an AG church for 18 years which was non-drinking. There were a couple thousand members. One day the pastor was reading an NT reference scripture and it mentioned wine, which had nothing to do with his message that day. But he suddenly stopped, looked up at the congregation, and said, “BTW, that is fermented wine, not grape juice” and then continued on with the sermon as if he had never brought it up.
I attend a baptist church here. Whenever the subject of alcohol comes up with anyone in church or anywhere else and the other person says they are against it, I ask them if they are Mormon or Muslim. The conversation then begins.

Me too. They really should look up a Greek lexicon. There is a reason it is translated “wine” in most popular translations. It is what it means.

In fact this whole wine vs grape juice thing is an American thing, I think. In most countries that have a longer past, wine is common even for children for many reasons. The grape juice thing is silly and the equivalent of homosexuals saying the sodom was destroyed for the crime of poor hospitality.

I say to you, In that night there will be two men sleeping in one bed, and one will be taken away and the other let go. - I would recommend you research Luke 17:34-35 in its original language (or find a good teacher who has), and not rely on the English translation.

The author, Alan Shlemon couldn't be MORE WRONG if he tried.
Does he not know that
Jesus is also the LORD of the Old Testament?
Does he not know that
Jesus, as LORD of the Old Testament told us:
For whosoever shall commit ANY of these abominations, even the SOULS that commit themSHALL BE CUT OFF from among their people.
Then later
Jesus, as LORD of the Old Testament told us:
" ...both of them have committed an abomination:THEY shall surely be put to DEATH;their blood shall be upon THEM.
Do you not know that
Jesus, as LORD of the Old Testament and the New Testament gave them several chances before He
"gave them over to a reprobate mind ..."
Do you remember what
Jesus said about the unclean spirit?
" When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man,he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Then he saith,I will return into my house from whence I came out;
and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taketh with himself SEVEN OTHER SPIRITS MORE WICKED than himself,
and they enter in and dwell there:and the last state of that man is WORSE than the first.
Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. "
HOW LONG WILL WE CONTINUE TO FAIL to OBEY God!
And, HOW LONG WILL WE CONTINUE TO ENABLE Satan's minions to continue to ABUSE God's children.
This is what we get when we FAIL to OBEY God.
Those who support homosexuals are
against our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
These anti Christ people only bring destruction on us ALL.
I have
NO sympathy for homosexuals!
Homosexuality is a
"Mark" of disobedience.
Someone once asked"Why are they [homosexuals] all so angry?"
The answer is in the definition of "
REPROBATE".
rep·ro·bate \ˈre-prə-ˌbāt\ a. [L. reprobatus, reprobo, to disallow; re and probo, to prove.]
- 1. Not enduring proof or trial; not of standard purity or fineness; disallowed; rejected.
-
Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath rejected them. Jer. 6.
- 2. Abandoned in sin; lost to virtue or grace.
-
They profess that they know God, but in works deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate. Titus 1.
- 3. Abandoned to error, or in apostasy. 2Tim. 3.
And the reason
"why" is
given in the Bible.
God has
a cure for homosexuals.
But will we OBEY our Heavenly Father?
"Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect
that God is just,
that his justice cannot sleep forever."

Homosexuality was just a pernicious, soul-destroying vice in Paul’s day. But it is celebrated now because it is a primary weapon against the nuclear family, which stands as the last bastion against the utopian Marxist Collective. Natural families allow for too much individuation of thought, belief, motive, character, etc. The Collective cannot endure a genuine diversity of unique and sometime exceptional individuals, so the traditional incubator of such individuals must be destroyed and replaced with the almighty state as parent, with everyone else as mere servants of the state, including the biological parents. And conceptually, the best way to do this is to “deconstruct” the biologically natural family, show it to be really a tool of oppression, an artificial construct tied to antiquated biological prejudices that can be replaced with anything, but especially the Collective (Hillary’s “village”).

I’ve been to Mormon services where they use water for their communion. Anything to do with alcohol is a no no.

I’ve always come back with - how can they tell the difference then between fresh grape juice and older grape juice. The whole marriage scene describes water into wine not grape juice.

I almost became a mormon. I used to have a lot of mormon relatives.
And here’s a good one: I was in a classic rock “bar” band. I was the only non-mormon in the band. ;-)
