Egypt's Prophesied Civil War

The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. (Isaiah 19:1-2)

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.(Matthew 24:6-7)

Egypt, the largest Arab nation in the world, is currently erupting into a bloody civil war. The factions are the Egyptian military, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and the embattled Egyptian people. In the crossfire are the suffering remnant of Coptic christians, whose rights had been somewhat protected under Mubarak, but who have been openly persecuted under the MB.

The transformation of Egypt has long been regarded as one of the centerpieces of the foreign policy of the Obama administration. Egypt’s recent upheaval began with the unprecedented Obama speech at Al Azhar University* in Cairo in 2009. At the time, the Muslim Brotherhood was a suppressed dissident group in Egypt, but Obama insisted that the MB be brought into the event, over the protestations of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Events which have since ensued in Egypt; the Islamist inspired “Arab Spring” , the toppling of our longtime ally and peace Partner with Israel, Mubarak, the Egyptian election of US backed Islamist, Mohammed Morsi, the open persecution of the Egyptian Copts by the MB, the over run of our Egyptian US Embassy, and burning of the American flag on 9-11, and recently the ouster of Morsi by the Egyptian Army.

As of now, Egypt has descended into a bloody civil war, as outraged MB mobs assemble to face down the Egyptian army in order to violently re-install Morsi, the MB candidate. Yesterday, 623 MB supporters were killed in confrontations with the Egyptian army, and thousands were injured in the clashes.

The MB has been avenging itself in a typical cowardly fashion, by the wholesale killing of indigenous christians, (Copts), the rape of Coptic and Catholic nuns, the kidnapping of christian children (pre-teen girls, for marriage and ‘conversion’)and the burning of christian churches. Egypt is descending into a nightmare scenario.

The Word of God has much to say about this supremely influential Arab nation in the last days. The prognosis for Egypt is both terrifying and bright. Egypt is slated to suffer a harsh night of tribulation before the breaking of the dawn, according to Isaiah and Ezekiel.

We can see by comparing our opening scriptures, that ss a judgment from God, a terrible civil war will break out in Egypt, with much violence and destruction. Jesus was quoting Isaiah 19, the vision of Egypt, in the sermon on the last days, on the Mount of Olives, in Matthew 24. The difference is that Jesus applies the description of the Civil War in Egypt, to the situation throughout the whole world.

In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.(Isaiah 19:16-17)

Egypt has been seized by a mortal fear, particularly of the Jews, and God himself is in that fear. Keep in mind that Egypt was point man for the Arab world in four major modern wars with the state of Israel. The Arab coalition enjoyed the advantage of superior numbers, firepower, transport and supplies, yet in each war were soundly defeated. Of course Israel alone didn’t defeat Egypt and the others, the God of Israel did!

The lead hijacker of the 9-11 plot was an Egyptian, Mohammed Atta. An Egyptian pediatrician, Ayman Al Zawahiri is the late Osama Bin Ladin’s right hand man. The Muslim world has in the modern world been radicalized by the writings of Egyptians Sayyid Qutb, and Hassan Al Banna. In short, the Egyptian people are very influential in the current terrorization of the world in the name of Allah.

Egypt has a time of reckoning coming before she can be healed. But Egypt will eventually be healed,

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee. And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it. Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.(Ezekiel 29:8-10)

Radical, violent, anti west, anti christian, Anti Jewish Islam is going to rule over the largest Arab population in the world. Already the newly liberated from Mubarek Egyptian population met in the streets of Cairo by the hundreds of thousands, to hail the once exiled fundamentalist preacher Qadrawi, who called for a march on Jerusalem.

Something soon is going to happen in Egypt that is so awful, Egyptians will have to flee their own land and live as refugees . The land will be rendered uninhabitable for forty years!

No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.(Ezekiel 29:11-12)

But Prophecy asserts that Egypt will in the end turn to the living God, and drop Islam once and for all. God says He will make himself known to the Egyptians, and that they will turn to Him in a time of great distress. In mercy God will reveal himself to them.

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.(Isaiah 19:21-22)

Consequently the Egyptians will make peace with Israel, and after some time, (probably during the millennium), return en mass to their own land. They will be trading partners and brothers, the Egyptians, Israel, and Iraqis.

In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.(Isaiah 19:23-25)

Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered.(Ezekiel 29:13)

In the millennium, Egypt is directly addressed by the Lord Himself. He warns her to make sure she is in attendance at the Feast of Tabernacles, lest he withhold rain from her. Thus, there is a glorious future for Egypt, after the long night.

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain..”(Zechariah 14).

Amazing that you got all of that out of my simple article Rashp! And why do you assume that I don’t constantly preach Christ and Him crucified? You don’t know me, my motives or even what you are talking about. I forgive you for your “Blog pimp reference’, and for (Falsely) accusing me of selling survivalists gear.I think you need to get on Decaf, brother, and quit bearing false witness against a pastor who you know nothing of.

Yeah, yeah.

So says someone who rejects Jesus Christ as the authority on Christianity and relies instead on Rabbinical Pharisees to define their personal Self Alone flavor of “Christianity”.

When someone only accepts the Pharisee Approved Luther Subset of Scripture rather than the entire Bible what they have to say with regard to Scripture is by definition based on an incomplete understanding of the Word of God. Furthermore, it’s almost always a self-serving personal interpretation that isn’t even consistant with the portion of Scripture they do claim to accept.

So you see, I at the very least know "someone" doesm't even accept the entire Old Testament Jesus Christ and the Apostles used, therefore preaches to others based on an incomplete understanding of Scripture, and markes their personal view of prophey by hooking to events taking place today but denies that they're in any way implying that said events have anything to do with what they're posting.

I also know they routinely pimp their blog full of other such hype so to say I'm talking about someone "you know nothing about" is either a lie or attempt to hide from the fact that "someone" has been pumping at least what they want others to know about them for a long time.

It’s Rome that has erred in rejecting the Jewish canon and adding 7 more books into their bibles, most of which they don’t really even believe in, such as Judith which the RCC acknowledges to be a work of fiction due to its significant historical and geographical errors.

As for the “self alone” nonsense. It’s Rome that rejects the sufficiency of Christ’s work on the cross, and asserts that they can add to God’s grace in order to earn salvation.

That's not even two cents worth, especially from someone who characterizes those Jesus Christ, God from God, our Lord and Savior died to save as "puny humans".

Like the prophecy hucksters, though, those who would pretend to witness for Christ while belittling others as "puny humans" rather than precious lost souls are only concerned with their Self and their Self Alone which is why the preach Self Worship rather than Christ and Him crucified.

In fact, such folks run from a crucifix like a bunch of B movie vampires because they know it was Christ on the Cross that saves us, not their personal favorite flavor of Self Alone Self Worship.

We were told there would be people like that.

Throughout the Bible God has attempted to warn, teach, and prepare His people. He used prophecy as a means to instruct His followers about how to prepare and be ready. The prophecy deniers have always tried to thwart that effort. God used prophecy consistently throughout history to allow those faithful to His word to prepare for coming judgment. Noah, Lot, and Joseph are examples of those who listened and understood. God has never left His faithful without knowledge of what was coming and how to prepare. Each of those believers was mocked and ridiculed but were proven correct and saved from God’s wrath.

Today we have those who would have us believe that sometime in the past God stopped giving us information of what to prepare for. Somehow they would have us believe that He did not instruct us about what was coming and how to prepare. They use the same mocking tone as Joseph’s brothers and people in Noah’s day. Peter and other’s warned us to “be mindful of the words which were spoken before” and that there would be “scoffers”.

2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

There is a force in this world that would have us not believe or be prepared for coming judgment on this world. Just as with Noah, Joseph, and Lot, I believe the prophets have given us information of what is coming. We were told it would not be easy to understand.

2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

I believe that God HAS given us information about what the future holds and has told us how to prepare. He used the prophets to inform the people of what was coming throughout history and He has not abandoned us to guess about what the future holds. Just as in Noah’s day we have been information about what is coming and the same force that caused people to scoff at Noah is at work today to keep people from being prepared for what is coming.

I, for one, would rather ere on the side of being over prepared then to suffer like those who scoffed at Noah, Lot, and Joseph or those who will suffer for scoffing at us who would be prepared today.

This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent....Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he....For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord....for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
John 6:29,John 13:19,2 Timothy 1:7-8,Rev 19:10

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.(Matthew 24:44-46)

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. (Luke 12:37)

James teaches that even just one sin makes you guilty of the whole law.

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (Jas 2:10)

Paul speaks of his sin nature, his frequent sins, and his inability to be righteous according to the Law, and his thankfulness for Christ.

“For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” (Rom 7:15-25)

Paul teaches that we are free from the curse of the law, for Christ was made a curse for us, that we may receive the promise by faith.

“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Gal 3:11-14)

Paul teaches that men are not saved because they did good works or were obedient, but are saved for the purpose that they perform good works, which they were before appointed that they should do them.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Eph 2:8-10)

Christ agrees, asserting that not even our faith is from ourselves, but is given from above, according as how God chose us in Him from before the foundation of the world that we should produce good works, and that our fruit should abide.

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (Joh 15:16)

Thus we conclude that salvation is entirely the gift of God, not based on our personal merits, but is effectually carried through by the almighty power of God, who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure; so that our faith is such that it produces good works and obedience, though we are not judged to damnation for not being incapable of being righteous according to the law.

As your own “Doctor of Grace” affirmed,

“And further, should any one be inclined to boast, not indeed of his works, but of the freedom of his will, as if the first merit belonged to him, this very liberty of good action being given to him as a reward he had earned, let him listen to this same preacher of grace, when he says: For it is God which works in you, both to will and to do of His own good pleasure; and in another place: So, then, it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Now as, undoubtedly, if a man is of the age to use his reason, he cannot believe, hope, love, unless he will to do so, nor obtain the prize of the high calling of God unless he voluntarily run for it; in what sense is it not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, except that, as it is written, the preparation of the heart is from the Lord? Otherwise, if it is said, It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, because it is of both, that is, both of the will of man and of the mercy of God, so that we are to understand the saying, It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, as if it meant the will of man alone is not sufficient, if the mercy of God go not with it—then it will follow that the mercy of God alone is not sufficient, if the will of man go not with it; and therefore, if we may rightly say, it is not of man that wills, but of God that shows mercy, because the will of man by itself is not enough, why may we not also rightly put it in the converse way: It is not of God that shows mercy, but of man that wills, because the mercy of God by itself does not suffice? Surely, if no Christian will dare to say this, It is not of God that shows mercy, but of man that wills, lest he should openly contradict the apostle, it follows that the true interpretation of the saying, It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, is that the whole work belongs to God, who both makes the will of man righteous, and thus prepares it for assistance, and assists it when it is prepared.” (Augustine, The Enchiridion on Faith, Hope and Love, Chp. 32)
