What exactly is the motivation for this? You seem to weekly post a story like this as if it proves something. Is there some kind of contest you win by trying to convince us Rome has fooled yet another misguided nut and lured them from one error into theirs? I have known literally dozens of former RCs who now have found the true Gospel of grace in Jesus Christ and have left the chains of Rome. But, numbers prove nothing...just look at Islam.

I think his motivation is to report in the Religious News forum on news items of a Religious nature.

Perhaps you should let your hatred of Catholics be moderated a bit.

Um....I posted it. You've got the wrong Papist.

I thought a few folks might find it interesting. Relax.

Is there really enough Anglican or Episcopal adherents to flood anything? My Episcopal friends all indicate that locally at least, their churches are dying.

This pastor Fr. Jurgen Liias sounds like a one-in-a-million -— make that a billion -— kind of guy. What a creative connection. I just say Rejoice in the Lord, Always.

Oh we are relaxed...knowing that a rescue was provided by the Lamb of God and not some Roman organization.

No hatred here, my FRiend. Perhaps there is some projection going on from your end?

I was just asking about motivation and repetitious story lines. Nothing new, but same old saw. And, the frequency sounds a good deal like the number of Pater Nosters demanded by “priests” for absolution. Just odd, that’s all.

“a fact sheet published by The Episcopal Church shows that
its membership has dipped below two million members”

golly, sarge! You’re right!
Episcopalian floods are going to be tame I guess.

The best 200,000 will leave. The rest will stay and watch things get weirder.

This ordinariate will spread to England ... there’s more of them over there.

I think I understand.

Attacking catholic conservatives is purely brother love and telling the truth.

Peace.

"Attacking catholic conservatives is purely brother love and telling the truth."

Do I detect a note of sarcasm?

This OP has absolutely nothing to do with "conservative" viewpoints. For that, I stand with some of the RCs around here (just ask). But, this is an ongoing campaign to set out every nut who swims the Tiber to prove something(?). I was just trying to find out what is that something? Frankly, you can have the kooks who make the switch, because they are simply jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

My question is, why do you care if another Freeper
posts an article about his or her faith? If you post something about your faith, we don’t go over to your thread and demand, “What is the meaning of this? What was your motivation for posting about these Protestant heresies?” In other words, it’s perplexing that you seem annoyed that a Catholic would post an article about Catholicism. If you don’t want to read about it, don’t. No one is holding a fun to your head and forcing you to read the article.

Dutch, this was actually an interesting article ... I went and read it in full ... trying to “wear the world like loose clothing”. Especially anything involving Bishops.

Jurgen Liias is nobody’s nut but Jesus’.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, ... it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered (1 Cor. ch. 13)
