Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Children and Families In The Bible

The Prophet Jeremiah
Chapter 31

7. For thus says the LORD:

“ Sing with gladness for Jacob,
And shout among the chief of the nations;
Proclaim, give praise, and say,

‘ O LORD, save Your people,
The remnant of Israel!’
8. Behold, I will bring them from the north country,
And gather them from the ends of the earth,
Among them the blind and the lame,
The woman with child
And the one who labors with child, together;
A great throng shall return there.
9. They shall come with weeping,
And with supplications I will lead them.
I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters,
In a straight way in which they shall not stumble;
For I am a Father to Israel,
And Ephraim is My firstborn.
10. “ Hear the word of the LORD, O nations,
And declare it in the isles afar off, and say,

‘ He who scattered Israel will gather him,
And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’
11. For the LORD has redeemed Jacob,
And ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he.
12. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion,
Streaming to the goodness of the LORD—
For wheat and new wine and oil,
For the young of the flock and the herd;
Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden,
And they shall sorrow no more at all.
13. “ Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance,
And the young men and the old, together;
For I will turn their mourning to joy,
Will comfort them,
And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.
14. I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance,
And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD.”

How Awesome is Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
Glorious In Majesty,
And Magnificent beyond Understanding!
You Are Our Strength and Our Song,
Our Refuge and Our High Tower,
Our Rock and Our Redeemer,
Our Sword and Our Shield!

Thank You, LORD,
For For Your Eternal Word.
Thank You For Its Glorious Message of Grace and Hope.
Thank You For Affirming Your Perfect Plan For Families in Almost Every prophecy and Metaphor!

Let the people say:

"It is The LORD who has given us this land,
and not we ourselves."

For it is Not By Might,
Not By Power,
By By Your Spirit
That The enemy Shall Be Overcome.

We pray for the Repentance, Restoration, and Renewal of Our Beloved Nation.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Happy Rosh Hashanah To Our Jewish FRiends!
May Your name Be Inscribed in The Book Of Life for a Sweet, Healthy, Prosperous, and Holy New Year.

When I Began this Topical Study on July 16th, I thought it would only be about "Children in the Bible". However, it evolved into a Study Of God's Perfect Plan For the Whole Family, and, beyond that, the Consistent Metaphor Throughout the Entire Bible (Both Old and New Testaments) of God's Relationship to us. He shows us He is Father, Husband, Bridegroom, Friend, even a Nursing Mother to us (Don't be offended...this isn't feminist talk..He uses the metaphor more than once!)

There are also numerous examples of family difficulties: jealousy, sibling rivalry, infertility, infidelity, in-law issues, polygamy, incest, murder, fratricide, rape, wayward children, etc. Over and over, God uses these horrors to bring about a positive outcome. This study will run until I run out of examples!

Come and Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Families and Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Please Include in Your prayers Lera, one of our most Faithful Prayer Warriors, whose home and property have been flooded in the past torrential rains. This is putting a tremendous strain on her family.

Also, Please Lift Up in Prayer my Pastor Jerry, who has become very ill with stomach problems.

The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. . . . With faith, with prayer, with us agreeing, there is nothing that can stand against us.

OH LORD, how personal is THY call to PRAY, THY CALL TO SING, THY CALL TO ASK…OH LORD, to suffer outside the boundaries of they FACE is endless torment, to rejoice outside the boundaries of YOUR FACE is idolatry, for all good things come from the FATHER, Amen. To need healing outside the boundaries of THY HAND is endless searching…OH LORD. OH LORD, thank YOU for drawing us near to YOU in all our ways. Thank YOU that we have a family of brothers and sisters that are YOUR HANDIWORK in all that we need in prayer when our times of weakness overcomes us. Amen. Thank YOU for the fellowship of FAITH that results in healings, in forgiveness, in confessions, in power. Amen.

We lift up all these concerns today before YOU, in Thanksgiving and Praise, in the Name of Jesus Our Lord. Amen.
