You are disconnected from reality. In the past decade, the Holy See has dealt with over 3000 priest who committed abuse over the last fifty years.
3000 priest. What is your definition of acute?
I said “especially acute.”
The Catholic Church’s record on sexual abuse is not markedly worse, and is markedly better, than many other institutions.
