When the defense attorney for a raped Saudi Arabian woman appealed a Sharia Court decision that the 90-lash sentence against his client was unjust, all that was succeeded was the more than doubling of the punishment meted out to the woman who was raped and beaten by seven men, as reported by the women’s rights-centered news portal The Clarion Project on Sept. 22, 2013.

This case, along with hundreds like it, probably didn’t make the National Park Service’s video extolling Islam’s contributions to women’s rights. Shameful.
Nukes would be too merciful for these scum.
These are the people we are trying to bring to power in Syria.

I think the punishment is outrageous; but the legal issue of their not allowing women to be with men unaccompanied by a male relative is what got this girl into a trouble she might have avoided.
Kinda like DemcRATS here in the USA.
Islam is slavery. Slavery for women, blacks, non-Arabs, Christians and any non-Muslim. The surprise for them is that in an unjust inhumane society, NOBODY has freedom, not even the ruling class.
I worked in Kuwait in the ‘80s and talked with expats who did the Saudi scene. One guy said that a Brit had been convicted of making alcohol for himself in his room. He was sentenced to 100 lashes.
The kicker was, it was 25 a week.
The sentence is carried out over a period of time - she won't get 200 lashes on one day.
Why can't the self-righteous leftists pick up a book now and again and learn something about the cultures they so enthusiastically promote?

Yes, their religion obviously protects the rapist - a woman needs to have four male witnesses to press a rape charge. In what bizarro world would four decent men allow a rape to occur in the first place?
A buddy of mine got 500 lashes for sleeping with an illegal woman. She overstayed her visitor visa. They kicked down their door early in the morning and dragged them both off to jail. She got 50 lashes and deported. He got 500 broken up over two days and was deported.
He says it was more embarrassing than painful because his company rep and some of his friends had to be there.
He says the caner didn’t even keep count half the time so he never got the full 500.
The caner also has to hold a Koran under his cane arm. If he drops it your sentence is over. The target area is from top of knees to shoulders and if you are hit outside those areas your sentence is over.
Well, glad you found it mild enough to handle. Still, I stand by what I said, that several women who got relatively fewer lashes did NOT survive them. I recall a young girl, also a rape victim who told, who lingered for some days and then passed away. That was Pakistan a few years ago.
