Posted on 09/25/2013 8:27:57 PM PDT by WXRGina
Reuters and other news agencies are reporting that the Pope has capitulated on several issues such as homosexuality, abortion and contraception.
The Popes remarks were taken from a 12,000 word interview with the Jesuit periodical, Civilta Cattolica, (Catholic Civilization) the most prominent statement reaching news agencies is his declaration that the church needs to shake off its obsession with abortion and homosexuality.
The Pope has pleased the liberal factions of the Catholic Church and sickened and worried the conservative members of the church.
Few have reported on the prophetic implications of the Popes remarks and with some exceptions, such as those made by Evangelist Bill Keller, most protestant news outlets remain free of op-eds or theological treatment of the Popes interview, at the moment.
Biblical Theology and Catholic Teachings Always at Odds
Hundreds of traditional or patristic teachings of Catholicism are either in direct conflict with the bible or do not exist in the scriptures at all.
The list of theological discrepancies has been addressed repeatedly for centuries and there would be little room to cover them all in one short article.
What we must point out is that on two very important levels, those who stand on scripture cant ever recognize the authority of the Pope it has never been a matter of whether they like him or not, nor is it a matter of personal choosing.
First, Because of the Greek rendering of Matthew 16: 18, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it Protestants believe that Christ was referring to himself as the Rock, not Peter. This is supported by other scriptural passages, to wit:
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (Mt 16: 18b)
Secondly, not one word in the bible speaks of apostolic succession. It is a concoction of the Roman church, not a biblical teaching. It is very difficult even to support the teaching in view of the fact that there was no Catholic church for over 300 years after Christ came into the world. Most Catholics are totally unaware of this fact. They have been told they are the first church, but true history betrays them.
Simply because these facts cannot keep the childlike faith of any Catholic from reaching the Savior does not justify or verify the truth of Catholicisms origins. It is simply a matter of Catholics being saved or redeemed not because of their religion but in spite of it!
The Real and Present Danger in the Discrepancies between the Papacy and the Bible
Gentle, but firm, is the only way to approach addressing the errors of Catholicism at the same time knowing that millions of Catholics are of the family of faith simply because Jesus said All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. (Jn 6: 37)
Yet, it is more than an item of curiosity or some minor theological difference; it is a dire sense of urgency and concern, especially in the last days, that causes anyone who knows scripture to make fair warning.
I have repeated this warning so often that I think my publishers may think Ive run out of new things to say. Ill take that chance, as opposed to risking a confrontation with my Savior for not making it as abundantly clear as possible, while there is still time.
What warning you ask!
Any religion, Catholic or other, that derives its ultimate authority from a man is subject to heresy, apostasy and error depending on the personality, the current state of mind or the evolvement of personal ideologies in that man.
Faith based solely on the scriptures, the written accounts of Christs teaching and his Apostles and biblical prophets cannot be altered, changed or disputed until the very last day of time. God intended this; it is his way of grounding us on a rock instead of the sinking sands of a changing and unstable world, to wit:
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (Mt 7: 24, 25)
Christ relegated his authority to his Apostles and their teachings too are on the same level as his. They were not mere scribes or interpreters of his will they were Holy Spirit inspired and authorized to speak as final authorities.
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. (Lk 10: 16)
Finally, since we will not be judged by what other men say why would we waste time or risk being found in total error. Why not go to the source of truth and take Christs warning seriously?
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. (Jn 12: 48)
So what did the Apostles really say about abortion, homosexuality and issues of the day?
The prophetic part of the bible contradicts the Popes assertion that believers are obsessed with homosexuality and abortion. In fact it warns that in the last days it is possession (demonic) that will fuel the slide into apostasy the world over.
Political correctness, floundering Pontiffs and general acceptance of everything the bible condemns, is proof immutable, that the NWO, apostasy and the emergence of the Antichrist are well on track for the very near future. Just dont talk about it is the advice of fools. If the only choices are between obsession and possession its pretty much a no brainer.
Not only is homosexuality referred to as an abomination, to be noted, rebuked and refused as part of the church, but immoral behaviors were cause for people to be put out of the church and not allowed back in until they had fully repented. (1Co 5: 1-7) Should the perversion of same sex acts and marriage be an exception?
The idea of the Pope suggesting that we are over-talking the subject of abortions reaches to the heights of apostasy. The only voices the over two hundred million aborted babies worldwide have - is ours. Telling us to be silent is the moral equivalent of blasphemy.
After the Sandy Hook massacre of innocent children the liberals went after guns with a vengeance. Doesnt it seem hypocritical that after 60,000,000 abortions in the U.S. and 160,000,000 abortions worldwide that telling us to pipe down is the only thing the Pope can think of to say? We will never be silent, or to borrow a phrase, you can pry my anti-abortion argument from my cold dead lips, but no other way.
The Folly of Following the Fallen
Has the Pope taken his first steps into the last days (apostasy) falling away? We can only hope he has not, but if this is the beginning of it, it is also the end of everything as we have known it.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. (2 Th 2: 3)
Why do you say that? Are you brainwashed by Catholic haters?
Who is Rev. Michael Bresciani and why is he so concerned about the Catholic Pope? It’s really noble of him, the world apprec iates it, but let him become concerned about his own sect, whatever it is, Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7th Day Adventists, or Scientologists.
The rapture occurs at the Second Coming of Christ.
The notion of a rapture occurring apart from the moment of the Second Coming is daft. It is made up out of whole cloth and not scriptural.
I am saved, child. I am no worse or better off than you.
Exactly. Thank you. Any notion of a rapture occurring any time other than at the moment of the Second Coming is silly. My apologies for not making that more clear in the first post. Catholics have always believed in the rapture, the one that occurs at the Second Coming.
Some people just don’t get it.
The English word rapture does not appear in any of the current English translations of the Bible. If you are wondering where the English term originates from, it is an Old English word that was used in literature (including some Charles Dickens novels) that refers to being carried away.
Does your tagline mean that it is possible for the mainstream media to get something CORRECT when they write about the Pope?
Or does that like this latest round of crazy pronouncements remain impossible?

Very cool! Thanks for sharing the link.
As regards eschatology, put me down as a “who knows who cares”... how it all ends is a mystery to me, and doesn’t in the least affect how I should be living this day and every day for Jesus!
For a great series on what the bible really says about Daniels 70th week, I recommend The Revelation Film Series: KJV Prophecy
Given that this May, May 21, he denied His Lord and Savior by stating atheists and those that don’t believe in God can get into Heaven by “being good” - WHATEVER THAT VAGUE RELATIVE TERM MEANS - totally invalidating Jesus Christ’s atoning death for all people,
I’d say yes.
Jesus DID die for all. Not ALL take Him up on His offer. NOBODY earns one singe part of their salvation. You can’t do anything “good” to earn one drop of your salvation, you can’t do anything to make it into Heaven on your own.
He that denies the Son denies the Father. They aren’t going to go to Heaven. Denying the Son denies Jesus was God, and denies His saving work for all men.
Just this one or all of them throughout history? While I believe that there were righteous men amongs the many Popes of history, please explain your comment vis-a-vis:
1. Pope John XII (955964), murdered several people, gave land to a mistress, and was killed by a man who caught him 'in flagrante delicto' with his wife.
2. Pope Benedict IX (10321044, 1045, 10471048), who "sold" the Papacy, who was said to have had orgies in the Lateran palace, and who was said to have been primarily homosexual.
3. Pope Urban VI (13781389), who tortured Cardinals who had conspired against him and complained that he did not hear enough screaming when they were tortured.
4. Pope Alexander VI (14921503), the Libertine Borgia, he of multiple mistresses and multiple children.
5. Pope Leo X (15131521), a spendthrift, who's actions were the primary cause of the Reformation, through his selling of indulgences to raise money for his profligate spending. According to both Francesco Guicciardini and Bishop Paolo Giovio, the Pope was homosexual.
There are many others, but I submit that a Pope, being mortal, fleshly, is prone to the same sins as any other man. How many times did Jesus rebuke the Pharisees as hypocrites when they did one thing, yet instructed others not to do what they did? How then, can such Popes be 'infallible' in matters of 'morals'?
When Pope Francis has turned the Catholic Church down the path of liberation theology and social justice. Liberation Theology has as its roots, Marxism. Pope Francis is leading the Church into the realm of heresy and apostasy. Along this road, according to Pope Benidict XVI, will be rebellion, division, dissent, offenses, anarchy . . . that inevitably lead to the betrayal of the cause of the poor and that a Marxist analysis of reality leads to the acceptance of positions that are incompatible with the Christian vision of man.”
It is incredible how stupid men can be to embrace the Marxist world view. It is like a fool shoving a needle of Heroin into his skin and thinking they have found the way, the truth and the happiness.
And you know neither your Bible, nor prophecy. LOL!
That happens when one is stuck in a well, hearing only their own echo.
Pope Francis excommunicates pro-gay marriage priest. He’s not the liberal the media wants

Despite all due temptation, he remains a Catholic.
From all of last week’s headlines saying that the Pope wants to forget this nonsense about abortion and gays, you’d imagine that Germaine Greer had been elected to run the Catholic Church. Actually what the Pope was saying was that he wants the Church to talk more about what it’s for than what it’s against. But that doesn’t mean it won’t still be against those things that contradict its teachings and traditions.
Can Pope Francis save the Catholic Church?
The Catholic Church will never be the same
The mystery of what Pope Francis really believes
Just ask Greg Reynolds of Melbourne a priest who appears to have been both defrocked and excommunicated because of his radical views on women clergy and gay marriage. From Australia’s The Age:
The excommunication document written in Latin and giving no reason was dated May 31, meaning it comes under the authority of Pope Francis who made headlines on Thursday calling for a less rule-obsessed church.
The document might give no explicit reason, but the reason is implicit and well understood: Reynolds has offended Mother Church with his politics. It’s interesting to note that the former priest tells The Age that he “wants the same thing as the Pope” which is “to encourage reform and clear need for renewal in the church.” I read from this that Reynolds has, like many liberals, misunderstood Francis’ words. Structural reform is clearly necessary to prevent future horrors like the child abuse scandal, and renewal is something that Christians always desire. But Reynolds would throw out Catholic doctrine something Francis would never do because he is, despite the best wishes of so many in the media, a Catholic. His treatment of Reynolds proves that point.

Each apostate American is being replaced by multiple faithful believers elsewhere and this author is just another run of the mill aging "American Prophet" who as dusk settles around him can't see the forest for the trees.
Catholics really do think they have a lock on all knowledge, don’t they?
Some here I have found to be genuinely lovely souls interested in knowing more and having sincere warmth.
The rest of you just need to crawl back under that rock you so like to profess and await your eternal destiny.....if you hurry you might even get a front row seat to the hellfire.
Take yourself far, far, far away from me!
As I told Rita, crawl back under the rock you like to profess so much and if you hurry you’ll get a front row seat to the fires of hell.
Get behind me.....wow.
