Vladimir Putin Speaks Like a Christian

Posted By Brother André Marie On September 25, 2013 @ 11:30 am In Columns,Marriage and Family,Politics and Society | 1 Comment

Read the comments below by Vladimir Putin, who is constantly berated by Western glitterati (e.g., Madonna, Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John) for his stance on unnatural relations. The man speaks like a Christian, nay, like a Catholic (he is a self-professed Russian Orthodox Christian). Imagine an American politician in high office speaking in such a way.

On the other hand, some there are who think that the consecration of Russia requested by Our Lady of Fatima is not necessary, since Christianity (albeit in a schismatic version) is so openly accepted in this formerly atheistic and communist nation. My reply is twofold: 1) the Mother of God demanded it, therefore it ought to be done; and 2) the promised “conversion” of Russia was neither to schism, nor to non-communism, nor to any other thing than Catholic Unity under the Roman Pontiff.

One consolation in all this is that when Russia does convert to Catholicism, there will be an influx into the Church of men — real men! — who are not afraid to speak out openly as Christians, and fight like Christian warriors, as well as pray and fast like Russian Monks, worshiping according to a traditional Catholic liturgy which they have not seen fit to mutilate. That’s called a “net gain.”

“Events that take place in the world represent one more serious challenge to the Russian identity. There are foreign policy and moral aspects to this. We have been able to see many Euro-Atlantic countries effectively embark on a path of renouncing their roots, including Christian values, which underlie Western civilization,” Putin said.

“That involves the negation of moral principles and any traditional identity – national, cultural, religious, or even sexual,” he said.

“Policies are pursued that put large families and same-sex partnerships in the same category, belief in God and belief in Satan. Excesses of political correctness reach the point where there are serious discussions on the registration of parties that have propaganda of pedophilia as their objective. People in many European countries are ashamed and afraid of speaking about their religion, holidays are abolished or given other names, names that shyly conceal the nature of those holidays, and aggressive attempts are made to force this model on the rest of the world,” Putin said.

“This is a direct path to degradation and primitiveness, to deep demographic and moral crises,” he said.

“What can be a better indication of a moral crisis in human society than its loss of the ability for self-reproduction?” Putin said.

When Vlad is struck down and transformed as Paul was then maybe I’ll believe.

I very much doubt that Orthodox Christians will be converting to Catholicism any time soon. They’re happy where they are.

I agree, why would the descendents of the early Christian Church want to go to the church that left them in the first place?

Sorry Madame but when it comes to a guy like Vlad I’m not buying it.

Brother Andre sounds like a real prize. If I ever need a reason to advise against any, even local, rapproachment with the Latins, all I have to do is read the ravings of a Brother Andre, or perhaps those of a heretical Vatican prelate so lionized here on FR, and voila, there it is.

In the meantime,

O Lord save Thy people and bless thine Inheritance.
Give victory to the Emperor
Over the barbarians
And by the power of Thy Cross
Preserve Thy Commonwealth!

Thanks K.

He’s a Feeneyite, a strict EENS type. I wouldn’t put too much into his views in general regarding ecumenical relations. But his views about Putin are interesting nonetheless.

I hope you also saw my post #4.

One consolation in all this is that when Russia does convert to Catholicism...

Except that it already has converted to Orthodox Catholicism and that has already reawoken there.

Considering how Orthodox Christians have voted here in the USA, I'm not convinced that this is anything to brag about.

Pardon me? The Orthodox Christians that I know are among some of the most conservative voting Americans that I've ever met.

I did as she said and then put the cross around my neck. I have never taken it off since.

Wearing a cross never converted anyone to biblical Christianity. A person becomes a Christian by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord.

if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans ch 10 v9-10
