I gave him marks since he did not resort to his box of flakes. :)I guess you missed post 68! That's why I made a response. Have a nice evening, I'm just starting my day!

Well, cicero, a true Christian is called to refute error when we see it and that is exactly what we do. If one does not like it, then perhaps one should examine what they believe more closely. Everyone is called to examine what they’ve been told by the light of Scripture and the Spirit is what gives us eyes to rightly discern what we read.
Perhaps a humble and teachable spirit before God is what is required instead of a live and let live philosophy. You will be required to give an account of the truth you’ve heard one day and you won’t be able to get away with “tiresome” in front of the Lord.

Truly amazing how one without the Spirit interprets Scripture. Even before I was born again, I wouldn’t have gotten that meaning from it.
Ah well....

When in doubt, or when nothing relevant to add to the discussion, throw in Mary.

Bible is a book by men. Some of the Bible contains some hard core propaganda. The Devil quotes the Bible. Jesus quotes the Bible. Correctly.
The Devil MISquotes it. He applies it inappropriately.
Know the Bible but listen to your heart.
Well, there's a recipe for disaster.
Relying on feelings than the Holy Spirit inspired, God breathed Word of God? No dice.

SOLA-scriptura does not mean ONLY. ALL Protestants have their own traditions, ALL Protestants listen to and learn from other sources, but sola-scriptura dictates that nothing learned elsewhere can hold an equality or superiority to the written Word. That's the Catholic position regarding the place of Scripture as a source of revelation.

For a long time after Acts was written, it was not universally held to be part of the inspired Scripture. It was a final decision by the Catholic Church in Rome that definitively placed Acts in the canon of Scripture. Anyone who holds with certainty that Acts is inspired is depending on a decision by the Church in Rome.

..”Bible is a book by men”...
Well you’re off to a hard start since the author would disagree.....seeing the Bible as just another book will interfer with your understanding...and therefore why you can see it as propaganda.
You can know any literature but if you don’t know the author you will miss much of the authors meaning....
Listening to your heart will certainly mislead you....emotions come and go and can run like water..and surely be wrong....
Doesn’t sound like you’re on very good footing to start with. Might want to check with God Himself, on all the above, before you form an opinion.

These threads are so much easier to read if you start from the bottom and read up. That way you know who authored the posts and which ones to skip.
It only took them ten years to crate a parody of YOPIOS. What will they think up next?

Too many people depend on Monty Python for their information regarding the Middle Ages.
In truth, the Scholastic period was the height of Christian civilization.
How come you never talk about Mormonism? Isn't that your religion?
