You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing. (Psalm 65:9-13)

Father in heaven, we pray to You in Christ's Name, according to His command.
Father, we know that, in Your bounty, You can provide all our military needs and more. We ask You to meet their needs - especially their spiritual needs.
Lord, this shutdown in Washington has to come to some sort of resolution, and we ask for Your grace in this matter. Provide us a resolution that will bring benefit to us.

Certainly the secular Progressive Socialists in D.C. don’t share your value in prayers for our Heroes both alive and fallen.

Amen, Irish Rose.
Praying for our nation - and some good will come from the shutdown and its resolution. Also, join in praying for our troops - many who have so been disgraced by our political leaders using them as pawns to score political points - shutting vets out of memorials, denying death benefits. May God turn this to good.

Im Invisible
October 12, 2013
My friend Jane said something at a work meeting and no one responded. So she repeated it and again no one responded; her co-workers just ignored her. She realized that her opinion didnt matter much. She felt disregarded and invisible. You may know what thats like as well.
The people of God felt that way as a nation (Isa. 40). Only they believed it was God Himself who didnt see or understand their daily struggle to survive! The southern kingdom had been carried away captive into Babylon, and the exiled nation complained: My way is hidden from the Lord, and my just claim is passed over by my God (v.27).
While Isaiah agreed that compared to God the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust on the scales (v.15), he also wanted the people to know that God gives power to the weak and strength to those who need it (v.29). If they waited on the Lord, Isaiah said, He would renew their strength. They would mount up with wings like eagles; they would run and not be weary (v.31).
When youre feeling invisible or disregarded, remember that God does see you and He cares. Wait on Him, and Hell give you renewed strength.
Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail.
Thy mercies how tender! How firm to the end!
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend. Grant
Even when we dont sense Gods presence, His loving care is all around us.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who straggled into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
