CROOKSTON, Minn. The lists exist, but whether they will be made public is now up to a judge.
Steven Aggergaard, an attorney representing the Diocese of Crookston, argued there is no concrete harm in keeping a list of priests accused of sexual abuse private.
The statement came Wednesday in Polk County Judge Tamara Yons courtroom. She must now decide whether the diocese is legally required to release its list as part of a lawsuit filed in June by St. Paul attorney Jeff Anderson.

How would showing inappropriate reverence to a mother result in encouragement of sexual abuse to children, exactly?
Is every sin committed by Catholic clergy a result of this?
Would there be no other, perhaps more directly related, causes?
A lot of the accusations would be fraudulent.
What would be the purpose of harming peoples reputations over fraudulent claims?
Faith in Mary, a human, instead of Jesus, the one true God who died on the Cross displays a pathological rejection of Christian faith. Catholics might as well worship Muhammed, Buddha or Krishna instead of the Redeemer of the World. They reap the just reward of heresy.
Accused is not “guilty”. If there is substantial reason to believe the accusation has merit then the person and any investigation done should be turned over to the legal authorities.
People accused of criminal acts have a right to due process. That includes not branding them guilty on accusations alone.
Might take exception to this sentiment
Martin Luther was, in his time,
classically Marian in his beliefs
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lutheran_Marian_theology
Calvin however, begged to differ
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Calvin%27s_views_on_Mary
I am not Catholic,
but I recognize that honorable people do differ is this regard
Most Catholics I know are aware of the consequences
of mistaking Idols for that which they represent
How easy it is to gaze upon an image and lose sight
that it is ONLY a pointer to someone far greater
Worshiping Idols is a Great Error
BTW, I still can't wrap my mind around the concept
of intervention of the (dead) Saints, or of the Catholic Pope
And withholding Communion from unconfirmed children,or
non-Catholic Christians seems bizarre
When the “List” comes out no doubt it will show a few 80 year retired priests who have been retired for years. The allegations will be made by some 55 year old man who claims he had was abused 45 years ago. He kept these memories “repressed” for all these years, but now suffers from all kind of emotional torment. Probably have Gloria Alred by his side. She knows where the money is and she knows there are no statute of limitations for the Catholic priests accused of sex abuse, unlike school teachers, firemen, cops, or anyone else that abuses children. Follow the money. That’s the name of the game.
If she’s good enough for Jesus, she good enough for you, I can’t say it anymore simply than that. That’s it; she is the mother of the lord Jesus Christ.. Think about it, what a nobility, what a dignity, what a sanctity.. The mother of the Lord Jesus Christ .. Jesus who is Lord, Jesus who is God .. She’s his mother. He is the head of the church, Jesus is the head of His Mystical Body the Church, Mary is his mother, Mary is also mother of the church .. How could she not be, it’s perfectly logical.. The mother of the head is also the mother of the body, Mother of the whole being, Jesus and his Church, Mary the mother, the mother of the Lord, the Mother of the Church.. Our Mother.. Think for a moment what if you created your own mother.. what a great job you would do...

Those protestants who don’t understand Mary, don’t understand Christ as well. What Catholics believe about Mary also protect’s their belief in Jesus Christ as both true God and true man. The same Church which teaches veneration of Mary also rejects the errors of Sebellius, and Nestorius for good reason.
As far as I’m concerned, its especially crass for some protestant, who understands nothing of what Catholics believe, to try to “save” them from what they assume is evil.
Go and learn more about Jesus and you will know more about his mother. Go and investigate deeper the implications of a divine being assuming his humanity from a woman. Do these things first, and you might understand Catholic teaching better.
Protestants who don’t understand even the basic implications of God having a mother, don’t understand Jesus very well in my opinion.
This is a sufficient statement
If Jesus Honored His Mother, then I should also
It does not, necessarily follow that one should
call upon Mary for Intervention when we have
surrendered to the Son of God,
and can speak to Him Directly, to Pray without Ceasing.
I think Mary would want us to give All Honor to Her Son.
But nobody Died and made me God, so your mileage may vary
AMEN.
AMEN.
