I disagree it’s simply differences in doctrines.....Christianity serves the Risen Christ Jesus...Mormonism teaches a counterfeit impersonator Christ...and that with all the trappings of a false religion.....The two are incompatible and diametrically opposed.
I understand you believe there is common ground.....but that common ground has nothing to do with accepting other faiths as Christian when they are clearly not.
Islam also has desires for family and community....values, morals and common concerns....as well as wanting freedom to practice their religion in Peace. As do Buddists and Hindu’s and those who believe in Voodoo.....they may see common ground as well but that does not include them as part of the Christian Community of Believers....nor do they seek that as Mormons do.
The difference between these other religions is they are seperate from Christianity and understand that they are....Mormons, on the other hand, have for years been trying to get the Christian Community to agree and accept that they are a part of “Christianity” when clearly they are not to any who take the time to investigate their history as well as their positioning throughout the world.....they are in fact a huge international corporation operating under a mask of religion which keeps their membership in monetary bondage to their organization and it’s leadership... and this in order to fund their investments, real estate and various enterprises worldwide.
You and I will differ on this pretty much entirely, as we have in the past....and will have to leave it at that.
