For Pelosi Late-Term Abortion is "Sacred Ground"

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi put her foot in her mouth again today during a press conference, calling the battle to keep late-term abortions legal sacred ground.

“As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this,” Pelosi said about efforts to stop late-term abortions. “This shouldn’t have anything to do with politics.”

During the press conference, in response to a reporter’s question, Pelosi was upset to be asked about the gruesome abortions and infanticides done by Kermit Gosnell and indicated she opposes a bill a committee approved yesterday to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Pelosi falsely called the bill a ban on all abortions.

“They would make it a federal law that there would be no abortion in our country,” Pelosi said.

Maureen Ferguson, Senior Policy Advisor for The Catholic Association, blasted Pelosi’s comments in an email to LifeNews:

“After witnessing firsthand the atrocious human rights abuses taking place inside America’s late-term abortion clinics it is amazing that this did not touch Nancy Pelosi’s heart. What we learned from the Gosnell trial and what we understand is going on inside other clinics is not only human rights abuse but it also puts women in harm’s way. The only difference between the Gosnell ‘after-birth’ abortions and legal late-term abortions is the location of the baby at the time of death. And contrary to Pelosi’s extreme claim that the Franks bill is ‘disrespectful’ to women, the majority of women are opposed to late-term abortions according to a recent Gallup poll.”

I wish we could abort her. Drawing and quartering is too good for her and her ilk.

The comments were made over the summer, however don't know if someone posted them. I am sure our Catholic FRiends will no doubt list why she is NOT a "practicing and respectful Catholic..."

Conservative Catholics — both politically and religiously — can now rejoice: due to her House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) longstanding support for abortion, she must be denied Communion under the law of the Catholic Church, said Chief Justice Cardinal Raymond Burke, head of the highest court at the Vatican. Burke referenced Canon 915, a part of Canon law which states those Catholics who obstinately persevere “in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.” As Cardinal Burke noted, “[Pelosi] is a person who obstinately, after repeated admonitions, persists in a grave sin...

She is not a practicing and respectful Catholic.

Watch/read this in context and you’ll understand where she’s coming from (though not agree with it, as I don’t).

She was speaking in context of having a number of children.
I’m sure she felt put-upon for having to bear them and raise them.

This is a liberty issue for her - freedom from bearing and raising children. That’s the context in which she made this “sacred ground” statement. That might be more important to revealing her mindset than trying to shoehorn her abortion views into some warped form of her religion.

Abortion is the one hill on which Democrats will never surrender. They are highly principled when it comes to aborting the unborn.

One of the reasons is that so many women have aborted their own children, and want government’s continual re-assurance that they have done no wrong. These women are a core Democrat constituency.

These women are a core Democrat constituency.

This is true, and also a large number of RINO women have aborted, or want to abort, so they could be included in that core group.

I saw an article about Cardinal Burke’s decision. Now the question will be if local priests in the DC area and SF will obey.

Very telling the above. Why it seems the GOPe (RINOs) are always hiding the Pro-Life candidates and activists.

I remember it as passing their children through the fire for Molech. Apparently sacrificing the children was supposed to bring prosperity to the parents. Sound familiar?

OBAMA AWARDS MEDAL OF FREEDOM TO ABORTION CHAMPION, GLORIA STEINEM

THE “NEGRO PROJECT”

POOR, BLACK & “UNDESIRABLE”

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE 1939 PLANNED PARENTHOOD INITIATIVE

http://www.toomanyaborted.com/thenegroproject/

The Negro Project was initiated in 1939 by Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. It was a collaborative effort between the American Birth Control League and Sanger’s Birth Control Clinical Research Bureau.1 For a eugenist, it wasn’t controversial, it was integral to the implementation of eugenics to eliminate the ‘unfit.

Eugenics is “a science that deals with the improvement (as by control of human mating) of hereditary qualities of a race or breed”.2 Negative eugenics focused on preventing the birth of those it considered inferior or unfit. This was the foundation of Sanger’s Birth Control Policy and advocated throughout her writings, speeches, and her periodicals including “Pivot of Civilization”, “Plan for Peace” and countless Birth Control Review articles.

The pseudo-science (racial hygiene theory) of negative eugenics influenced social policy and eugenics-based legislation (Immigration Act of 19243, segregation laws, sterilization laws) and led to the racial hygiene theory adopted by the Nazis.

Noted eugenist, Eugen Fischer, who was funded by The Rockefeller Foundation (one of many same organizations that also financially supported Sanger’s work), was responsible for the Nazi adoption of racial hygiene theory at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute that led to the eugenics implementation of the holocaust.4

The connection between American Eugenics and the horrors of Nazi Germany are irrefutable. The preponderance of evidence of where Sanger wanted to go (although she decried the atrocities of the holocaust after WWII) shows the ignorance and naivete of eugenics philosophy and its eventual conclusion, left undeterred. The Negro Project was but a precursor to what eugenists wanted to implement on a much larger scale.

“The main objectives of the [proposed] Population Congress is to…apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.” – Margaret Sanger, “Plan for Peace”, 1932 Senate hearing5

MAAFA21 is a powerful documentary that exposes the eugenic racism of Planned Parenthood. Watch it, free, online at www.Maafa21.com

This is the same Sanger who persuaded a few reluctant, yet incredibly influential, black ministers to join in her Birth Control movement. To dispel the rising doubts among those who objected to Birth Control on religious and moral grounds, Sanger wrote that “the ministers work is also important… offering to train him in their ideals because “we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members”.6

Many use this statement to bolster the claim that Sanger wanted to exterminate all of the black population, but this statement is about reducing a certain type of black individual that Sanger believed should be eliminated, sterilized, or segregated onto farms.7 Those who were poor and (supposedly) less intelligent.

Eugenists believed the entirety of the black population were intellectually and racially inferior. (Sanger’s ideological agreement and written/spoken solidarity with the eugenics movements does throw legitimate doubt on whether it was only a segment of the black population that was being targeted.) With the help of elite and famous African-Americans Mary McLeod Bethune, W.E.B. DuBois, and Rev. Adam Clayton Powell, Sr., the Negro Project was able to be sold as a solution to poverty and high birth rates.

It is crucial, however, to understand this endeavor in conjunction with Sanger’s dominant efforts of ‘eliminating the unfit’ and her hatred of charitable organizations. She devotes an entire chapter on charities and how those who finance them “are dropping millions into rosewater philanthropies and charities that are silly at best and vicious at worst.”8

“Organized charity itself is the symptom of a malignant social disease…Instead of decreasing and aiming to eliminate the stocks [of people] that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world, it tends to render them to a menacing degree dominant.”– Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, Chapter V, “Cruelty of Charity”

BLACK CHILDREN ARE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES.

Here is the simple truth. The intent of Sanger’s Negro Project is firmly intact. Nearly 40% of all African-American pregnancies end in induced abortion.9 This is by design. Abortion kills more black lives (363,705)10 than all other causes of death combined (285,522).11 The African-American abortion rate is up to 6 times that of the white population (as in NYC where black babies are aborted at 5.8 times the rate of white babies).

Abortion, no matter the race, is a tragedy. This is a crisis situation. The media has been mostly silent. Our churches are mostly silent. But the truth screams loud and clear. Under the false liberty of ‘reproductive freedom’ we are killing our very future.
