The cardinals made a mistake with this one. The pope should be focused on strengthening the Roman Catholic faith and fighting Evil in all its forms. Too much warm & fuzzy, who am I to judge, I’m OK you’re OK, capitalism is bad claptrap.

I like this pope. He lives in the reality that God the Father isn’t going to be checking his membership card in the Roman Catholic faith, but rather whether his heart was for nurturing the kingdom of God wherever that could be found and fostered by the church. He is great at using his position to be a spiritual leader of the church and the world, and is a fantastic spokesperson for all that is right, beautiful, and winsome about the faith. Go Pope Francis!

If social ministry doesn’t begin and end with Jesus Christ, then it is not social ministry. ~Paraphrased from Archbishop Chaput.

**`’This brings a responsibility for each to work so that the world becomes a community of brothers who respect each other, accept each other in one’s diversity, and take care of one another,” the pope said.

Setting aside his prepared text for a moment, he expressed impatience with violence in the world. `’What is happening in the heart of man? What is happening in the heart of humanity?” Francis asked. `’It’s time to stop.”**

Amen!

"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

If redistribution of wealth schemes are not based on covetousness, on what ground does The Pope preach his socialist fantasy to "correct" for unequal outcomes?
