I will take time to respond:

“Can’t you dear but infuriating people ever get it through your heads that the Jews were given their religion at Sinai, that they were charged by G-d to never change it or deviate from it, and that your belief that the Torah was a mere “preparation” for a future higher revelation is an alien notion imported from outside?”

Actually, you have misrepresented the viewpoint and belief of Christians.

Why would it be infuriating to you. Why would you even care, if you are firm in your convictions? Let it go. Instead of Don’t Happy, Be Worry, get back to the correct order. This is simply a discussion thread. It isn’t life or death.

“You cannot “prove” the “new testament’s” interpretation of the Hebrew Bible by quoting the “new testament” any more than you can prove the claims of mormonism by quoting the “book of mormon.” What about this is so hard for you to understand???”

Excessive use of question marks. 15 yard penalty. Perhaps you should take a deep breath and try to understand the other side’s perspective before you try to refute it.

“The “new testament” cannot authorize itself.”

Has someone claimed this?

“The Torah would have had to explicitly declare itself to be temporary and preparatory from day one for chrstianity to even be possible, and this is most assuredly not what happened.”

I understand that this is your belief. It would appear your view of God’s atributes is quite narrow.

“I absolutely marvel at chrstian’s immunity to this simple self-evident, logical truth.”

I understand your viewpoint on this. I of course disagree about several of these points for reasons above.

I wish you every blessing in Messiah.

Brother, the prophecies found throughout scripture, over 100 of them, all fulfilled by one man..
He came as a lamb and He is returning as The Lion of Judah. One messiah, two visits...
Jews believed in the Messiah in the first century. They were still Jews and didn’t need to lose their identity or Torah...All His disciples , Jews... Shaul, a Pharisee’s pharisee and an enemy of His in the early years of the ministry responsible for rounding up believers, became an Apostle to us Gentiles for Our Messiah..

The hope of Israel became the hope of the world... Jews, Gentiles..all in the family of Our Heavenly Father.

Only one has come, lived a sinless life, died a cruel death as an atonement for all sin, and rose from the dead and sits at God’s right hand..

Some Jews have seen the evidence of His coming and His fulfilled prophecies and accept Him as their promised Messiah as many Gentiles have accepted Him as our Messiah and Savior..Us gentiles didn’t know what the feasts were but we can see how He fulfills them if we study them..

It is a tough task for people who are set in other traditions and their faith to think for themselves.I can’t imagine a Jew who is social who may be the only one who believes that the Messiah did come.. how much pressure it must pur on them being considered an outsider or a heretic.. but that is prophecy too..

There are things I grew up with that was traditions that the christian church has that when I searched and studied scripture, I find more and more problems with what I was told I should believe...

I pray you can go through and review the fulfilled prophecies..

No need to change being Jewish.. couldnt imagine a Jew now going to a catholic mass or saying Hail Marys...maybe that is what messianic Jews do... I know as a believer in the Messiah I don’t do those things... My High Priest is the Messiah.. not some guy in a robe in Rome..

Shabbat shalom!

God, through Jews, gave us the written oracles, the living oracles (the world’s Messiah and Savior) and prophecy and the prophets so we could see that His word was Truth and that He was the only Elohim.. throughout the generations...

I don’t know what Jewish prophet’s writings you believe or not..certainly the rebirth of Israel in our day is prophetic... and so is the unbelief of the qvery house of Israel denying their Messiah... hundreds of years before He ever set foot on this planet, prophecy stated the majority would deny him... but that day is coming where every knee will bow and every tongue will confess..

If a Jew believe Torah and the prophets’ writings and see and accept Joshua Yahshua as their Messiah and Savior because of the prophecy fulfillments then I say the scales are coming off. And the age of the Gentiles is ending or has ended...
Halleluyah!
Label those Jews how you want.. Scripture says they are saved..

I am not sure what pagan idolatry you speak of... like christmas, easter?

Are their any Jewish prophets you deny as divinely inspired and not speaking for God?
Do you read their writings at all or just Torah?
Or do you have it all figured out so no need?

What Jewish prophets do you believe, you never answered.

All of them? None of them?

Another question, Do you use the world’s secular gregorian calendar (like most of the world) to find God’s sabbath or do you follow Torah?

Was Moses not a prophet?
That same Moses that predicted the Messiah, another prophet?

Was it not Moses that was instructed on rosh chodesh, sabbaths and feasts? And shared that with Israel?

Are the prophets not important to anyone who believes in YHVH?

If you say you adhere to Torah then why do you use pope Gregory’s calendar to find God’s Sabbath and not Torah or the entire TNK you have referenced?

If you can explain the battle of Jericho with the pope’s calendar vs. God’s calendar, I am willing to hear your defense of the pope’s calendar.

I didn’t say you worship Moses. Moses was a vessel used by God to give us instructions and warnings and messages. As he uses all the prophets.

Knowing Moses didn’t have a smart phone or a wall calendar, but God’s creation to tell him and Israel what a day, week, month and year was, is a remarkable enlightening experience and when contrasted against Satan’s Gregorian calendar, it is an amazing life alternating experience that opens up the entire TNK and the new gospel writings ( that I hope you read sometime with an open mind and a softened heart as they were Jewish writers used by God)

I am glad you have seen this too. Most are deceived by satan and his counterfeit timekeeping co-opted and adopted by the enemies of Israel- and I was for years. Now it doesn’t take long to see the enemies of Israel are organizations like the United Nations, the United States, Islam in total and the roman catholic church, the calendar’s namesake. All orgs that use this calendar in some form or fashion.

What a blessing that on the last sabbath of His month, we await the new moon word from Jerusalem to see if it was seen and enjoy rosh chodesh and the new month outside of what the world tells us is the day/month, etc.

What a difference we can see in the world’s solar based calculated calendars like then gregorian try to take the place of both the sun and moon’s place as Torah instructs.

As far as worshiping flesh, I worship the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Emanu El , God with Us, came down here as a Jew and He taught from Torah. He taught that the letter of the law was not enough, we are convicted by the spirit of the Law. He came as a servant, as prophecy would detail. His birthday wasn’t December 25th, he bears no resemblance to Christmas.. I have a belief that because His death, burial and ressurection fits perfectly in Torah, His birth did also, but that belief is in a majority view and there are some who disagree on the day(some say he came during Tabernacles).
I believe He was born of a Jewish Torah observant virgin Jew, as prophecy detald, named Miriram- on the new moon beginning the sixth month. I believe He was circumsized on the eighth day, a sabbath day and then was dedicated to YHVH at the temple after 40 days of His mother’s purification (as Torah instructs) on the day of atonement. ( He came to be our sin atonement)

He was put to death as the innocent lamb on the 14th day of the first month, that Torah explains is the day that lamb was to be killed. He rested on the 15th day in the tomb, a sabbath day, according to Torah. He rose from the tomb on the 16th day of the first month, or as Torah describes, the Feast of first fruits. Hundreds witnessed His resurrected body. Most of the believers were Jews after all since He said He came to speak to the lost house of Israel.

The new prophets discuss the Spirit of Holiness that came upon His believers on Shavout, and those writers explained that 3,000 were saved.. and that compares to Torah where the 3,000 were killed after Moses came down and Israel was worshipping the golden calf.

For 2,000 years since, the wheat and tares have been growing alongside each other and He will be returning many believe to fulfill the feast of Tabernacles in the near future which will celebrate the final eternal harvest.

You don’t know it, but you already know His story, and you know it better than any ‘christian’ thanks to God’s eternal plan of salavation for Jew and Gentile. Each of the Feasts he commanded is a perfect shadow of what occurred when Yahshua lived as God with us. And paid the sin debt we all owe and the sin debt we can’t pay.
He was the atoning sacrificed. One time. For all. It is not an accident that no more animal sacrifices are done. There is no more temple. It was destroyed 40 years after Yahshua said it would be.
But there is hope. Same message He gives the Gentiles, He gives to Jews. I pray you are a part of the remnant that accepts His gift. You are already an expert in the Messiah.
Each year, you observe His life, His death and His ressurection through God’s perfect Torah feasts.. Jews who accept Him can see it..

You and I have the same enemy- Satan.
You and I have the same God- YHVH .
You and I have the same Messiah- Joshua or Yahshua. And He taught us to obey YHVH too, not just literally but in spirit.

And I have read it. And I believe it. Every word. And that is by the grace of God.
Halleluyah!

All I know is that they are Jews that accept Christ rather than reject Him

I am thrilled about this, what Christian would NOT be?

As for the chosen People, we know they are chosen because the Bible says so

but according to a Christian Jew I heard on tv, modern Christianity has been deceived as to what this really means, they still need to personally accept Christ as savior ,

he worries that non Jewish Christians are afraid to share the saving Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with them

I actually stopped by here only to see what folks were saying about John Hagee and blood moons
