Pray for our American Heroes, Athletes and Nation

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Even Darius and Nebuchadnezzar said, “He is the living God, enduring and steadfast forever, and His kingdom shall not be destroyed and His dominion shall be even to the end [of the world].” “I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, Whose works are all faithful and right and Whose ways are just. And those who walk in pride He is able to abase and humble.” In their praise, we agree and say, “Amen and hallelujah”.

We are here today, Sir, asking and seeking and expecting to receive Your grace for our beloved United States military men and women and our Olympic athletes. Protect and defend each one. We commit them to You [we deposit them in Your charge, entrusting them to Your protection and care]. And we commend them to the Word of Your grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of Your unmerited favor]. It is able to build them up and to give them the inheritance among all God’s set-apart ones. Because we have asked, we know that You are sending them this Word of Your grace.

For our political leaders working against Your Kingdom, we say: “Break off your sins and show the reality of your repentance by righteousness (right standing with God and moral and spiritual rectitude and rightness in every area and relation) and liberate yourself from your iniquities by showing mercy and loving-kindness to the poor and oppressed, that [if the king will repent] there may possibly be a continuance and lengthening of your peace and tranquility and a healing of your error.(Dan 4:27)” The Most High God rules in the kingdom of men and that He appoints and sets over it whomever He will.(Dan. 5:21)

Thank You for answering our prayers. We are receivers as we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.

AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. Amen to your beautiful prayer, Hiskid. I am hearing of possible intentions to harm our athletes, to which I ask our God, please do not let them go without Your covering of grace and protection. Lord---not just for our American Olympians, but for all---that ALL would know that You are no respecter of persons. By Your mercy, Dear Lord, and in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Amen to your prayer, beloved Faith. I would ask that the whole event would be cancelled because of the threat, but that is unlikely. May our Mighty, Saving God protect and defend each athlete. Amen to your prayer. Thank You for showing Yourself strong on behalf of the innocent, dear Savior.
