We must stand up for Middle East's persecuted Christians
Fox News ^ | 1-31-14 | Johnnie Moore

Christianity began in the East, not the West, yet today Christians in the East are enduring an all-out-assault by Islamic terrorists, while Christians in the West live their lives largely oblivious to it all. This has to change.

This is no imaginary persecution; in Syria alone there have been reports of kidnappings, Christian communities intentionally displaced by militants and, worst of all, shootings and beheadings of Christians who refused to convert to Islam.

In Egypt radicals have recently destroyed dozens of churches, and the once vibrant Christian population in Iraq has been decimated.

Christians in the West should stand up for those in the East out of regard for all they have given us over these thousands of years, if for no other reason.

See, what most American Christians don’t realize is that the “Islamic World” was once the Christian world. Some of the most well-known and influential leaders in the early church hailed from North Africa and the Middle East – like the warring theologians Athanasius and Arius, and the apologist Tertullian. It was for the library in Alexandria that the preeminent Greek version of the Torah (the “Septuagint”) was commissioned.

Today, St. Augustine would be called a Tunisian, Origen would be Egyptian and the Apostle Paul – who was on the road to Damascus when he encountered Christ – would have told the story of his conversion while heading to “Syria.”

WE must look into what we can do—list what organizations are really helping—where funds will go to these churches and groups. America should be ready to send troops to defend Christians in these parts of the world. We need to counter the Wahabists radicals who preach a hate Christians message—We need to counter these arguements with another call in Islam. Yes, Russia should send troops in to defend Christians—we should send aid to help Egyptian Copts to rebuild their churches burned by radicals.

Tom you are correct. The despots for years protected Christian communities because they ultimately were afraid of US presidents and kept their Jihadis in line as a result. Now the demons are loose with no restraint and no fear of Russia or the West

At least the Russians are on Assad's side which offers the Christians some protection.
The Egyptian army is right now, one of the few groups that is holding off the inevitable slaughter of Christians in Egypt.
If the fundamental Sunni Muslims take over anywhere, any Infidel will have to convert to Islam or be killed.
Nothing personal, but that's what God (Allah) wants done. Read the Koran and Hadiths for further clarification and edification. -Tom

If they were truly following the Qur’an the Muslims would be leaving the Christians alone other than exacting a tax. However as you note there are conflicting passages in the Hadith.

Some of these Christian and other Infidel groups have been in these countries for centuries. It is pretty obvious these subjugated Infidels are not going to convert to Islam. Time has proven that.
What the Infidels will do, is breed and swell their numbers in the midst of the Muslim community. So a final solution will have to be done.
As you stated earlier the Muslims are not worried about outsiders opinions anymore.
The Germans did it to the Jews, and they weren't doing God's work. From their point of view, the Muslims have the best reason in the world to exterminate us Infidels, and they are willing to lose their lives in the process.

This isn't about what you or I believe, it is about what they believe. They are willing to give up their lives and wealth to do God's bidding. -Tom

WHAT SIDE IS OBAMA?

From Obama’s Audacity of Hope: ‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’

Is Obama really Christian or a taqiyya, or false convert from Islam?

Christians are being murdered nonstop by Muslims in Nigeria, Sudan, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tanzania, Philippines. Every five minutes, somewhere in the Muslim world, a Christian is being killed just for being a Christian. It is mind-numbing violence and slaughter of Christians in Muslim-majority countries. Sub-Saharan Africa is certainly a major site of jihad on churches, and Nigeria is especially a tragic place. In September 2011 for example, Muslims hacked to death thousands of Christians, including many children and pregnant women. A 79-year-old Christian woman had her throat slit in her home.

Did Obama ever tried to stop or at less condemned those egregious crimes against humanity? Does Obama ignore those crimes because de victims are Christians and the murderers are Islamic fanatics?
