For the first time since Gibson’s The Passion Mrs. fella and I may actually break our oaths and enter a movie house.

Their Bible series was so full of false information, I wonder how they will murder the facts in this production.

Just added this to the Saved portion of my Netflix queue. They don’t list a release date for home viewing. Maybe May or June.

Hope this movie will be seen by millions.

I saw a preview of this movie when I saw, “Lone Survivor”. It looks good, I’ll probably go see it.

Mine too, I believe I cried through the entire film.

Have it here on DVD and still cry like a baby.

It was the only film where my 90 year old Father actually confessed that perhaps Jesus truly was the Son of God, for no man could endure what he did. It was a breakthrough :)

"Their Bible series was so full of false information..."

I saw some "artistic liberties" taken, but nothing that contradicted scripture, (I mean, we all realize Noah probably didn't have a Scottish accent....).

Watched the trailer. Wish they had cast an average-looking Middle Easterner for the title role, rather than a handsome white guy ...

I watched the whole series...I found very little, if any false information...

Care to clarify...

Two different opinions posted here. Yours and one from a non-Catholic.

I believe yours — and would not spend my money to go watch it in a theater or even buy a DVD.

The Passion of The Christ told the truth — I’ll stick with that and be contented.

I’ve heard they stick very close to the original texts. Born on Krypton, his parents reluctant to send him to earth...

Dumb Protestant question here...

In what way would a Catholic version be different?

Catholics do believe in the Biblical narrative of Christ being the Son of God..I presume?

It would have a lot more details in it that have been revealed to Blesseds and Saints.

Did you see The Passion of the Christ?

Of course...it was obviously made from a Catholic perspective...I still thought it is the most powerful movie made on the life of Christ...

lot more details in it that have been revealed to Blesseds and Saints.

Humm...those are not in Scripture...

I'm not saying they aren't valid at least to a Catholic, but the series the movie is based on is from the Four Gospels...not on Catholic Church teaching

If it is made on the Gospels, then why are there differing opinions about it?

Good question...You tell me?

Catholics (at least on this thread) seem to have a problem with this version...because it did not contain extra Biblical Catholic teaching...
