Senior pastor of Lakewood, Joel Olsteen, is a 5'4" blonde woman from Fargo, North Dakota.

“Joel Olsteen, is a 5’4” blonde woman from Fargo, North Dakota.”
She disguises it well...
Masters of deception
I never thought otherwise.
joel is a veneer over nothing.
And sadly has a FReeper following.
He falls into the same category as Copeland, Crouch, Bakker, Hinn, Ike, Swaggart, Tilton and many others ... money grubbers all.
Youse guys is without Vision!
I saw on youtube where John macarthur rips into him like no tomorrow.
joyce meyer too.
Noted. I was just giving a sample of the more notorious.
So, ah - guess we have to vote for another Dimmocrat Towelhead in the next election?
NO DEBATE ALLOWED
There are worse guys than Osteen, by far, but I just don’t see him as a heavyweight, as a bona fide traditional Christian preacher. He is too far into the Prosperity thing.
What a slimy, little, phony creep Osteen is. I could smack him and his witch wife.
really??? that is rather disturbing
Why would anyone believe these lies, the man is 5’ 11 1/2” tall not 5’ 4”. Jesus was right when he said ‘if they hated me they will hate you’...
I think televangelism has been a definite NEGATIVE for Christianity in the last 20-30 years. For so many un-churched people, that is their only view of Christianity, and it is devastatingly negative.
I really doubt many people hate Joel Osteen because they hate Jesus.
“And sadly has a FReeper following.”
Appears to be a following of one or two only, though. There’s a daily post EVERY day, but always just one comment.
Jesus was speaking in general for all Christians to come, as well as the disciples in their time. I’ve seen more hate thrown at Joel Osteen on FR and other godly men, than anywhere else I’ve been online. It is a sad day that Conservatives, who claim to be Christians would try to destroy someone working for God’s Kingdom and encouraging the downtrodden as he does. God help them on Judgment Day.
...just so we understand each other.

What’s the point of this nonsense?
DB did make some mention of that --- but I'm of mind we should go no further here in discussion of past transgressions (although I do recall that time well enough).
That said --- as to this thread's source as it were, after checking out the guy's video's on youtube, I began to wonder --- is there anyone this one who uses the youtube handle "Wretched" does like?
It's one thing to point at an error or ailment. Bringing cure is yet another.
It is far too easy for any of us to forget;
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Caucus threads may include debate as long as it is a fight in the family (among members of the caucus) which is to say, no tossing bombs at non-members of the caucus.
If they hate Joel Osteen, it certainly isn't because they love Jesus.
What are Jesus' two Commandments?
Supposedly, we could do greater works than Jesus did when He walked the Earth if we loved each other as much or more than He loves us.
Best not to let our mouths condemn us.
I have seen a number of the “properity gospel” type preachers
Olstein’s message seems more like a “feel good” gospel, in the I’m O.K., you’re O.K., we’re all O.K. sort of vein
As a protestant, I am allowed to say that Joel is a motivational speaker making a fortune off the gullible while offering nothing that can be construed as “Christian” then. Right?
I know, it’s not like we are together on this...ciao
Yes, thank you for the clarification.
If he ever said anything interesting, maybe people would bother with the daily posts
I don’t want people encouraged, I want them saved
Yes, you can make that claim on this thread because Osteen’s church, Lakewood, is non-denominational Christian church and therefore included in the “Protestant Caucus” provided everyone is in agreement that “non-denominational” is a catch-all for unaffiliated Trinitarians.
I would hate to see the caucus tag that accompanies something trying to be specifically pro-Osteen. I wonder if it would fit?
“Ive seen more hate thrown at Joel Osteen on FR and other godly men, than anywhere else Ive been online.”
He is preaching untruth. Here is the proper response to what Osteen preaches from David Wilkerson :
There could be a “Lakewood Caucus.”
took all the fun out of building a Rube Goldberg caucus tag, lol
John Piper on the prosperity gospel:
it was from a Wretched april 2012 show
I think it’s been around here a few times before
i know, she’s just one i always think of.
With the size of his bank account we all would be into a Prosperity thing.
