Assuming another’s intent and doing so in an impolite (and wholly un-Christian) way is no good, either. The Bible tells me to avoid loud and vexatious persons. Good day.

That’s interesting, because while I am not a “holier than thou” type person or a condescending “know-it-all,” it was exactly those qualities in you that provoked my first response.

I know that you have not thought your position through. If the Bible is a good enough authority on murder, then it is a good enough authority on sodomy—and vice versa. If it is not good enough on sodomy, then it is not good enough on murder.

Are you unable to think? Did God engage in futility when He gave you reason? Did he waste His time giving you the Bible to tell you where He stands on it?

I agree only that your position is ridiculous, and I suspect that your motivation is to persuade people that the abomination of sodomy really ain’t so bad after all.
All I've said is that it's God's call and from all I've been taught through twelve years of Catholic education, both are serious sins. That's good enough for me.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

But I’m sure you didn’t mean anything personal by it. It is entirely appropriate that the moderator should overlook your remarks and censure me for getting personal.
