Miraculous claims surrounding the coming forth of the Book of Mormon are an evidence of the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith. Critics intent on discrediting the Restoration point to DNA studies on indigenous American peoples in an attempt to expose Joseph, the Book of Mormon, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as frauds. Claiming that scientific evidence excludes any possibility that Middle Eastern or ancient Jewish travelers came to the Americas in antiquity, such critics attempt to sow seeds of doubt in the minds of Latter-day Saints and those of other faiths concerning the authenticity of the Book of Mormon as an ancient religious text.
Are these studies credible? Do the data actually show what the critics claim? Do they discredit the Book of Mormon, or is there biological and other scientific evidence that supports the claims that it is indeed an ancient record of a people that once inhabited the Americas?
The Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research (FAIR) interviews scholars and scientists to answer these important questions and reveals the faith-affirming truth that not only are the critics' conclusions and methods flawed, but that there is credible scientific evidence in favor of the Book of Mormon as an ancient religious text.

Fair is not the best source of info. BTW, all of this has already been debunked, they use the wrong haplotypes.
Sorry resty but the BOM is still a bunch of garbage.
Moral of the story: Some think they know a lot more than they actually know.
Montana Boy: Bones Show Ancestral Links to Europe
“...the boy, who died some 12,600 years ago, came from the Clovis culture.”
Despite general resistence, representatives of tribes in the US recently gave their blessing for DNA analysis of the remains of a Stone Age child. Research conducted on the boy’s genes indicate that Native Americans have European roots.
the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith.
how did he get my number ???
well never mind then...
Just can't be said enough.
Miraculous claims surrounding the coming forth of the Book of Mormon
Yeah its a miracle Joey Smith didn’t have a permanent crease in his head where the peep stone in the hat pressed against his head..
another miracle would be that anyone ever was gullible enough to believe what that well known liar had to say..
The Bible identifies Christ as Son of God... you interpret, Jesus as just one persona of a God comprising a three-way personality disorder...?
And you criticize others who don’t follow your religious logic? Amazing.
Miraculous claims surrounding the coming forth of the Book of Mormon
what FAIR didn’t stay around to list these so called “miracles “ ???
Oy Vey! “Jewish” Indian Placemarker!
Your ability at objectivity is officially “0”
You are extremely uninformed borderline ignoramous. The Book of Mormon never claims that any of it’s peoples are Jewish.
Teppe your ability to sell me a false piece of goods is less than O
Obviously your ability to sell yourself a false piece of goods is 10000%
// you interpret, Jesus as just one persona of a God comprising a three-way personality disorder..//
Typical LDS characterization of the doctrine of the Trinity. That isn’t what Christian doctrine is, only one of the lies the LDS church claims that Christian doctrine of the Trinity is.
This is about truth vs. lies and Mormonism is a bunch of lies. Get out while you still can.
AMPU: Oy Vey! Jewish Indian Placemarker!

—Identifying from Whom the Lamanites Originally Descended
Thus Spake the Prophet Joseph Smith:
“When I was about 17 years old I saw another vision of angels in the night season after I had retired to bed I had not been asleep . . . [
“[A]ll at once the room was illuminated above the brightness of the sun an angel appeared before me . . .
“[H]e said unto me, ‘I am a messenger sent from God, be faithful and keep his commandments in all things.’
“[H]e told me of a sacred record which was written on plates of gold. I saw in the vision the place where they were deposited.
“[H]E SAID THE INDIANS WERE THE LITERAL DESCENDANTS OF ABRAHAM.”
(”The Papers of Joseph Smith,” Vol. 2, “Journal, 1832-1842,” edited by Dean C. Jessee, Deseret Book Company, Salt Lake City, copyright 1992, Corporation of the President, pp. 69-70),
Did Joey Smith put that in his book of Mormon ???
Yes right here in what Joey Smith called 2 Nephi 30:4,
“And then shall the remnant of our seed know concerning us, how that we came out from Jerusalem, and that THEY ARE THE DESCENDANTS OF THE JEWS.”
(Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 30:4, )
//Your ability at objectivity is officially 0//
So is yours.
Mormonism is a cult. It is refuted by higher criticism, archeology, common sense, and much more importantly: THE HOLY BIBLE. It's followers follow the same model as ISLAM: they both negate previous divine revelation when it doesn't fit their theological structure.
But the final death blow comes from Jesus himself. He didn't authenticate anything outside of what was already written, and what would be universally accepted by the church.

Back atcha, tepid. And it does say that the ancestors were Israelites. You are splitting hairs where there aren’t any.
The LORD Jesus Christ said to Teppe “I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man or woman comes to the Father except by ME” (John 14:6)
How are you ???
Give your source...
Faulty reasoning. Jesus identified Himself as being part of the Godhead (trinity). Moreover He also identified himself as fully human and fully God.
That you do not understand is not God’s fault.
A leap of faith is not from here to there. It is from here.
did you watch this video already?
This video is 57 mins long and you been here already pushing your bias with out facts...
Again I must agree with you.
Doing great, working on the ministry and doing some writing. Just spent the week with fellow inmans Tminus and 4merliberal
Do your own homework, and I pinged Zilla who is the go to guy for DNA
In all honesty this is bias, because not one of your have watch this video yet but all claim to know?
This is the things the father of lies does continue disinformation and for what reason?
Because the desire for truth is not in people like this...
do you have a spare peep stone ???
I can find a hat...
never heard of it!
why do we need to watch a video put out by followers of a false prophet when we have the real thing written in the Bible ???
Yes we know because we read the Bible..
Strong Book of Mormon evidence

Not my fault. The DNA is one of the most damning evidences against the LDS claims.
The problem is the motivation for those ‘good qualities’. They are trying to get people to convert (often by lying) and are trying to earn godhood and ‘do their part’ in earning their salvation.
However, once you leave, esp if you become a Christian, they shun you, lie and gossip about you and turn on you very quickly. My ministry is helping those who have left Mormonism for Christianity deal with those kinds of issues so I see them every single day and see the damage those ‘nice people’ do to others.

I miss Sandy and her Johannes comma..
I think it was her...
Backed into a corner the Johannes comma would somehow appear in a thread about something unrelated..
There is no DNA to compare too and if you watch the video you would know that the people of that time do not exist today so what ever they were trying to use has nothing to do with people from 600 BC. none those living there today have ancestor from that time period of any nation.
For now the whole thing is moot!
probably because the Scientologists drink coffee...
