Russia's aggression in the Ukraine has dominated the world news of late. With Putin seeking to reestablish the old Soviet Union, we can see the prophetic biblical end time events appearing right before our eyes (Ezek. 38, Matt. 24, 2 Thess. 2:3-12, Rev. 6). Whether Putin is the "Gog" which is to come is unknown, but one thing is totally certain, one cannot read Ezekiel 38 and not see the perfect parallels of our day. Many today - including prophetic scoffers (2 Peter 3:3), who lack an in-depth biblical perspective - continually state, "What makes this day - in which we are living - any different than any other time? There have always been aggressions and wars and as before we as a world have always bounced back and will rebuild." My friend, the answer to your reply is very, very simple.
In this age of EXPONENTIAL advances in weaponry, in technology, 24/7 global media coverage etc. etc... There is ABSOLUTELY no more room for the nations of the world to isolate themselves from global influence. Even from a secular point of view the next world war will be this world's final. For those of us who grew up during the Cold War the threat of nuclear war was always present and we were always mindful that we could see a nuclear holocaust and the end of mankind. However when the Soviet Union fell that reality removed from our world thinking and an "Utopian" vision of peace and the belief of the end of wars has taken its place. Today 25 years after the fall of the Soviet Union, a new world generation has been raised which knows no such nuclear threat and only has been taught that world peace is just around the corner. This dramatic change in global perception is not by any means of man but by the demonic design of the god of this world (John 8:44, Eph. 2:1-2, 6:12). No wonder the world shall say, "Peace, Peace, then sudden destruction shall engulf them (1 Thess. 5:3).
My dear friends, Satan (the god of this world) is a master politician and tactician. He fully knows fallen humanity inside and out and knows what bait and tactic to use to achieve his will. Lucifer is the master hunter, an evil genius, a master of deception and in his tactical planning he is lining up all his demonic ducks for his final showdown with Almighty God, his 666 global state and global worship (John 8:44, Matt. 24, 2 Thess. 2:3-12, Rev. 13). His goal these last 25 years has been to distract the world and have them look at the delusional straw-men of false hopes and aspirations of achieving world peace and a global utopia all the while arming and raising up his war pigs and nations to fulfill his final demonic agenda (1 Thess. 5:3, Rev. 6). With all the EXPONENTIAL advances in technology, weaponry and in media etc. etc... Satan is more powerful than ever to deceive and lead the global masses to fulfill his will. He knows that his moment is at hand to institute his final agenda and his demonic troops are on standby until after the rapture of the body of Christ and the removal of the Holy Spirit's presence (2 Thess. 2:3-12).
It will ONLY be when the ETERNAL Son of God (i.e. the risen Lamb) opens the Seals of Revelation (Rev. 5, 6) that Satan will then be able to release his Four Horsemen and begin his move to finally eliminate Almighty God's Divine judgment at Babel and breakthrough it's blockade of the nation's cultures, creeds, spiritual ideologies (i.e., religions), political ideologies (Gen. 10, 11:1-9, Rev. 13, 17:11-18) by global war, death, famine, pestilence (Rev. 6). It will be the use of humanity's godless war pigs and demonic hosts that he will absolutely break and pulverize humanity's spirit and reduce them to a unrepentant, hateful, wrathful, raging, bitter global mob with only one desire, to obliterate the REALITY of the ETERNAL Triune God, Almighty God's Two Witnesses, His 144,000 Jewish evangelists, Israel, and all those of the nations that call on the Name of the Messiah of Israel for RIGHTEOUSNESS and salvation (Dan. 7:21,25, Rev. 6-9, Rev. 11:7, 12, 13:7, 17:13-14).
My friend, Almighty God has flooded this world today with EXPONENTIAL access to his Word and saving message, but truly who will hear it? The EXPONENTIAL advances in technology have opened the doors for the TRUE Gospel message to reach all nations, tongues and kindreds and ALL are without excuse. Oh the ETERNAL GRACE and MERCY of Almighty God, who desires NONE to perish but ALL to repent and receive His pardon for the transgressions against His RIGHTEOUSNESS (John 3:16-17, Rom. 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9).
My friends, as the world in which we are living is at the crossroads of the Day of the Lord (John 3:36) may you not be one of those who choose to scoff at what will be and reject Almighty God's saving grace for your soul. Hear His voice today and be ye saved from the wrath which is at our door.

I saw a map of Ukrainian and Russian bases in this region the other day and it appeared to me that Russia has several military bases there.

The problem is that are no “good guys” anymore from a biblical worldview. Globalists-New World Order pushers on one side, Islamic Hordes on the other, Russia and their temper tandrum in another corner.
Marxist communism killed off God while creating/in order to create the Soviet Union, which then died as Christianity was revived and Russia reborn.
Putin seems to straddle the old and the new and we watch to see where both feet will stand.
From a certain point of view, the western worldly way is only slightly better than the former Soviet way, as it maintains a begrudging, perhaps temporary, tolerance for Christian thought and His way, while advocating instead values and lifestyles worse than Sodom.
I'm aware of, but don't really understand, the warnings from Fatima and Garabandal and trust with faith that they will be fulfilled, just as all of Scripture's promises will be.
People molding Western countries into prophecy are twisting and ignoring an awful lot of Scripture to do so.

Muslims believe that in the End Times, their Mahdi will rise up and lead their armies to victory. Muslims believe the Antichrist described in Rev. 6:2 is their Mahdi.
Helping their Mahdi will be Isa, who they claim is Jesus, son of Mary, and they call him a PROPHET, and that he didn’t die on the cross but that Judas did.
This passage says the False PROPHET of the Bible has two horns like a lamb, but speaks like Satan:
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
That’s some pretty big “coincidences.” The Antichrist/False Prophet duo could easily be the Mahdi/Isa duo.
Who could sign a 7-year treaty with Israel and make it stick? The Mahdi sure could. Who would have an instant 1 billion murderous followers? The Mahdi.
Isa, according to Islam, will claim he’s always been Muslim, and forbid anybody from worshiping him. Certainly a neat solution to the “Christian problem.”
Rev. 20:4 says that the martyrs of the Great Tribulation are beheaded at the hands of the Antichrist and False Prophet. Islam, as we know, has a fondness for beheading.
There are many more evidences than this, such as the similarity between the shahadatan in Arabic (the blasphemous “there is no god but allah and mohammed is his messenger,”) and “666” in Hebrew, and the fact that they wear the shahadatan on their right arms or their foreheads when going into jihad, etc.

I disagree about Islam. They are not at the top of the food chain. They will be disposed of when the time comes. Satan’s religion is himself. Not some third world proxy religion.
I don't believe in a pretrib Rapture at all, but the majority of the prophecy crowd are trying to beat square pegs into round holes and the easy thing to show them how far afield they've gone is to point out the role of Islam in our current problems and the Satanic origin of that false religion.
Their theories for the most part have long totally ignored both the Eastern half of the Roman Empire and Islam. More than a few folks have realized they're on the wrong track when they see how much they have to ignore and/or conveniently twist Scripture to fit the Bestselling Surrender and Evacuation Doctrine that has been making millionaires out of hack plagiarists since the early seventies.
