Poll: Homosexuals are viewed more favorably than evangelical Christians

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 3, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Ned Flanders is considered one of the most likable characters on television. But according to a new poll, more people may have a positive view of Big Gay Al.

The public views homosexuals more favorably than evangelical Christians, according to a new survey of 1,000 likely 2016 voters.

According to the survey, 53 percent hold a favorable view of homosexuals. Only 42 percent said the same about evangelicals.

Homosexuals had fewer detractors than fundamentalists, as well. In all, 28 percent viewed evangelicals unfavorably, 10 percent more than those who held a similar view of homosexuals.

The polling firm and its funding have raised some eyebrows.

The survey was performed by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research (GQRR), which was founded by Stanley Greenberg, President Bill Clinton's pollster during the 1992 presidential election.

It was commissioned by its client, the homosexual lobbying group Human Rights Campaign.

GQRR has worked for a host of liberal-progressive, pro-abortion, or homosexual groups or individuals.

Its advocacy group clients feature such left-wing groups as Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, NARAL Pro-Choice America, EMILY'S List, Pro-Choice Voter, MoveOn.org, Center for American Progress, the Kellogg Foundation, and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals.

Aside from Clinton, prominent political clients include Al Gore, Walter Mondale, Rahm Emanuel, Bill Richardson, former Senator John Corzine, and numerous national and state Democratic party affiliates.

The newest poll found a cavernous gap on the issue of redefining marriage between people of faith and those who never attend church. Nearly two-thirds (63 percent) of people who attend religious services weekly oppose same-sex “marriage.” However, even more (84 percent) of those who never attend support same-sex “marriage.”

GQRR did not release demographic information about whether their poll was scientifically representative of the United States as a whole. However, national media portrayals of homosexuals have been overwhelmingly positive, while its coverage of evangelicals has typically been hostile.

The Family Research Council and the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission declined to comment on this story.

One group bends at the waist bowing before Christ and one group yells "Christ" when bending at the waist for other reasons.

I'm not the least bit surprised at which group is less popular in a secular, sex centric, society.

25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’[a]

I think this sentence is short but profound.

With the exception of my self and my ole lady, I would trust my 3 kids with a Christian family before I’d trust them to any homosexual.

But now comes the “new guilt.” The fags will NOT leave well enough alone. Satan won’t let them.

” Ned Flanders is considered one of the most likable characters on television. “

TV needs more likeable characters like Ned Flanders, but sometimes when I watch the Simpsons and Ned is cast, I get the feeling that the show’s producers are making jokes at Ned’s expense.

It is almost as they set up Ned where he and other Evangelical Christians are made fun of through satire.

The "shocking" facts...

It was commissioned by its client, the homosexual lobbying group Human Rights Campaign.

GQRR has worked for a host of liberal-progressive, pro-abortion, or homosexual groups or individuals.

and when you go to the poll, no poll sampling methodology.

". . . and when force is applied, we WILL use them."

Now there's a fantasy if I ever saw one.

Let me know when the number of Planned Parenthood murder facilities and school boards bombed equals the number of ROTC centers bombed in the sixties and seventies, then I'll reconsider my opinion.

Face facts, the democrat fascists will do whatever it takes to get what they want and "Conservatives", Evangelical or not, won't even get off their tailbones to vote King Barry out of office.

As long as the porn flows and the bongs are full it doesn't matter who has what guns. Who is willing to use the guns they have is what really matters and the democrat fascist have a history of being willing to use the guns they have whether they're in power or not.

Besides, doesn't the Bestselling Surrender and Evacuation Doctrine promise that the right people will be evacuated from the roofs of embassies or something long before anyone ever has to actually do anything about the evil bastards running the country?

Ned Flanders was clearly an object of ridicule, albeit a likeable one.

“If we’re talking the Big Gay Al from Southpark, well I like him. Too bad more guys were not like him.”

That should be “too bad more GAYS were not like him”.

A God-hating country will get the judgment it deserves. The “America” I’m living in now seems to have no connection to the country I grew up in.

I’m not shocked when you consider a murderer, Barabas, was more popular than Jesus Christ when the public was polled.

hasn't been an honest poll in 8 years

How do you figure? The polls virtually all had Obama right in '08 and ''12, and were even pretty close in the watershed 2010 race.

I don't give a fig for what a poll says...but if you want to pay attention the problem for conservatives in recent years is that they have been more right than wrong.
