America's third president, Thomas Jefferson, complained about how Jesus' message had been usurped. "Of this band of dupes and impostors, Paul was the...first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus," he wrote. Paul acted as a kind of double agent, and killed James the Just (called the brother of Jesus), Daugherty added."
Sounds to me like standard Catholic-bashing, except he’s pushing the Great Betrayal back from Constantine all the way to Paul. Not really original. The liberals and modernists have hated Paul for centuries.
I’m always amused by these people who seem to think that when Jesus promised to remain with his Church until the end of time, he was referring exclusively to some 35-member church in Arkansas.
