Matthew 21:8-11

8 A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

“Hosanna[a] to the Son of David!”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[b]

“Hosanna[c] in the highest heaven!”

10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”

11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
Almighty and Eternal,
Glorious and Transcendent,
Rock of Ages,
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
and Lord of Lords!

Thank You, LORD,
For giving us Your Light,
Thank You For Illuminating the Truth.
Thank You For Shining Your Light Upon Us,
And filling our hearts with Your Glorious Light.
And When the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy,
Thank You For turning on your Light,
And Exposing all that is not the truth!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
The Apple of Your Eye,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

When I was a child, I was troubled by the Story of Palm Sunday. It bothered me that the same crowd that spread palms on the ground before Jesus were the same people who cried "Crucify Him!" a few days later. In my childish (and self-righteous!) mind, I had no idea that this HAD to happen in order that my sins be forgiven.

In our study of Bible Trees, the Palm stands out as a symbol of Royalty, Praise and Glory. But, as anyone who has even done tropical landscaping knows, the tightly wound palm fronds are as sharp as thorns before they open up into their glorious mature state. I didn't know that until I tried to trim a mini date palm and nearly put an eye out. In all probability, the palms that the crowds were waving had "thorns" in them. So there is more to a palm frond than meets the eye!
