The shirt is not blue, it’s brown. And those are jackboots the academic fascist is wearing.

Doesn't this professor symbolize liberalism?

He doesn't agree with something and instead of entering into a debate to present his "superior argument" he tries to shout down the other person. He fails at that so he tries to intimidate the other person. He fails at that so he tries to create a mob that will demean and shout down the other person.

It seems to me the bigger problem is no one is willing to confront the question what is the foundation of your truth.

Apparently the demons living within this man could not stand to hear the truth or wanted any other person to hear the truth.

People have different ways of celebrating diversity.

“The divine saturates nature the way that gravy saturates cornbread.”

Gravy on cornbread is like a fish on a bicycle.

“He asked me if I had accepted Darwin as my lord and savior,”

Boster certainly shows his credentials as a semi intelligent ape. Evangelical Athiests are hypocrites to their own beliefs. While I’m certainly not an athiest, I do find the theory of evolution and old earth geology convincing, I also believe in rational dialogue. Ridicule has no place in that. Invading the turf of creationists is counterproductive and this meeting was plainly not intended as a real debate.

I witnessed an incident couple years ago, also at a large state university in New England when I happened to be visiting a friend, a couple ministers set up a small booth outside and started preaching against abortion. A very large crowd gathered, screaming hatred and obscenities and blasphemies, pretending to pray in a mockng manner and lunging at the preachers. Several campus policement appeared and whenever somebody physically touched the ministers they'd grab them and cuff them. They weren't arresting anyone, just taking them to the edge of the crowd, uncuffing them and telling them (I assume) to get lost.

I was seriously concerned that the ministers would be mobbed. I tried to get a bit closer to let them know they were not completely alone, but I wasn't able to get very clsoe. Eventually they left.

The contrast was striking -- the ministers standing firmly, preaching in measured tones and ignoring the mocking people pretending to be kneeling in prayer at their feet -- and the crowd screaming, jeering, angry, verging on violent...I was suprised not to hear a thing about it on the local news, but I suppose I shouldn't have been.

Thanks for passing it along.

It seems the older we get the more we see how what the leftists accuse Christians and conservatives of is really what they are. They proclaim that they are for free speech, freedom of thought, and tolerance. Yet anyone who dares to point out that their claims of moral authority rest on nothing but hot air are shouted down, denied free speech and physically intimidated.

Our country is in decline. We are the last Christian nation in western civilization. I doubt another generation will be able to say we are a Christian nation. If we think things are bad now, just wait until the moral underpinnings of society are based solely on the whims of the mob.

I think I’d like to see you prove old Chuck died for my sins and rose on the third dsy, Professor.

Just because you think campus preachers are absurd, that doesn’t make it a good idea to go psycho with them.

I’ll pass on the popcorn and have some ice cream from the UConn Dairy Store instead.

I think I saw a documentary about that. (I’m not really fond of popcorn; it was just a figure of speech.)
