Explaining the Heresy of Catholicism (John MacArthur)
Grace To You ^ | Pastor John MacArthur

Posted on 05/26/2014 4:13:56 PM PDT by Dr. Thorne

Praying to Mary, celebrating the Mass, venerating the Pope—you won’t find those doctrines in the Bible. And yet more than one billion Roman Catholics throughout the world follow such practices in line with the official teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.

With that many Catholics around the globe, it’s likely you know some of them as relatives, friends, neighbors, or co-workers. Find out what they don’t know—the origin and error of Catholic doctrine—so you can help the Catholics you know out of the darkness and into the light.

The Catholic mantra. Nice work, Maharishi. Why really talk to God when you can pray a thoughtless prayer over and over?

Conspiracy theory and ignorance about Catholicism. Am I sensing a natural link here?

We need the practice. Lord knows world domination is a one step at a time endeavor and starting with a forum is a very decent start.

My Bible is a study Bible with commentary by MacArthur. Listening to one of the audio tracts right now to what you linked.

I still don’t like these threads bashing each other. But the truth does need to be told.
But love for others is critical.

As a Protestant Christian I think it very wrong to bash another persons religion. We are all the family of God and our enemies are huge. We must all stand together as separated we will all fall before sward of our foes. Our church recites the apostles creed, -which is catholic and that’s all that is necessary because what it says is our faith. We just worship differently.

You could try rebooting your mind control chip installed by the Vatican. Sometimes that erases the uplink and you will be free. But don’t count on it. Tentacles of Vatican doom are everywhere!

Why is this non-Catholic trying to tell Catholics that Catholicism is a Heresy?

We just talked on another thread where a non-protestant was telling protestants that being a protestant is heresy. Weird eh?

Jesus is really going to piss everyone off when He lets both Catholics and Protestants into heaven. For the next ten thousand years, He’s going to hear nothing but “why did You let THEM in?”

Shouldn’t we be fighting together against the liberals instead of with each other?

Anyone who posts this kind of post is not looking to make the world a better place, they are looking to cause trouble. Whether the information is true or not does not matter, it is meant to divide and not bring us together under God’s love. Shame on you!

"You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free" - John 8:32

I'm not interested in getting along like some moderate. I'm interested in the Truth. Catholics don't know the Truth because they have allowed their church to tell them lies which only serve to oppress them. Maybe if they take the time to listen to what John MacArthur has to say, they might learn something.
