Gay couple get married, civil partnership

Frightening article in the Telegraph: Gay Danish couples win right to marry in church.

The country's parliament voted through the new law on same-sex marriage by a large majority, making it mandatory for all churches to conduct gay marriages.
....
Under the law, individual priests can refuse to carry out the ceremony, but the local bishop must arrange a replacement for their church.
I am sure at first most Catholic clergy will refuse and bishops will not comply but down the line, in two or three years, what will happen, and if this law were introduced into England, or the rest if Europe?

Meanwhile in Chelmesford...

According to one poster ...

This law only applies to the state Lutheran Church over which the Danish parliament, quite rightly, has the power to legislate. There have of course been calls for other religious bodies to be included but these have been resisted by the Danish government.

Ping!

I’ll say it.

May the Muslims burn Denmark to the ground, or the Russian war machine reduce it to a wasteland.

May the Muslims burn Denmark to the ground, or the Russian war machine reduce it to a wasteland.

If only consequences were so immediate. They rarely are. This will take a generation or longer to play out, and the obviousness of the decadence and decline will only be clear much further in the future.

This will happen in the U.S. and here’s how:

LOVING VS. VIRGINIA. State can’t prohibit interracial marriage.

That was followed by: Church’s can’t get tax exempt status if they refuse to perform legally sanctioned marriages.

So...

ANY church not performing ‘gay marriages’ will be denied tax exempt status.

“The power to tax is the power to destroy” and that’ll put gay marriages in every church in America.

I work for a Priest, and what he says will probably happen is the Priests will refuse to perform marriages. Couples will have to have a civil ceremony and then Priests will bless the marriage. Clearly they won’t bless a “gay” marriage. He also stated he is more than willing to turn in his license to perform marriages, if it comes to that.

Freedom of religion? Nope. Sodomy must be celebrated.

If the priest turns in his license to perform marriages, will his church remain tax-exempt?

Excellent question? I have a sense the Mohammedans have nothing to worry about when it comes to this particular issue.

Catholics in Denmark should consider abandoning their church buildings and start saying Mass out in the fields. That is what the Irish did when King Henry VIII outlawed the Catholic religion.

But I believe somehow the mosques will remain exempt.

Yes, because there are other sacraments churches perform, not just marriages. Marriages would be blessed, and they will obviously only bless marriages that are in line with Church Doctrine.

That’s good. This issue may be like churches that permit only male clergy like the Roman Catholic Church and the denomination I am a member of(Presbyterian Church in America). Both the RCC and the PCA are allowed to keep their tax-exempt status and to not ordain females.

However, the homonazi movement is so psychotic and drunk on its own power, I figure they will try anything to hurt us.

Since homosexuals can not marry or even commit homosexual acts without being in sin will that not force the “church” to sin in following the law?
I would politely tell them to kiss my ass.........

This story is about the Danish “established” church. It does not apply to Mosques, Synagogues, Roman Catholic churches, other Protestant churches, etc.
