Will Cardinal Dolan Do Anything about St. Francis and their Celebration of NYC "Pride"? [Cath Cauc]

I've been posting about Manhattan's homosexual parish, St. Francis Xavier run by the Jesuits. (See here, here, here, and here.) It's a scandal, but Cardinal Dolan seems to have no problem with it. No discipline for the priests there promoting homosexual acting out. In fact, he cheered them on at the parish rededication.

Nope! Cardinal Dolan saves discipline for orthodox priests like Fr. Justin Wylie of Holy Innocents parish who dared to say in a Sunday homily that the diocese appears to be the abandoning the flock who desire the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). Holy Innocents is the only parish in the diocese that offers a daily TLM. So what happened to Fr. Wylie in a New York minute? He got the boot at the express order of the Cardinal's office. I mean, it's fine to talk about mixing with the smelly sheep, but, some sheep are smellier than others and those traditionalists just reek of incense!

To make a sad story even more ludicrous, Holy Innocents is planned to merge with St. Francis of Assisi run by the Order of Friars Minor. Seems the Franciscans are as proud of homosexuals acting out as the Jesuits at St. Francis Xavier. (The two Francises must be rolling over in their graves.) At any rate, St. Francis of Assisi is celebrating their "pre-Pride Mass" before the "hot" events on the evening of June 28th and the big parade the next day. Keep in mind that "gay pride" is a loaded term that refers to celebrating the homosexual lifestyle. If you have any doubts about what NYC pride stand for, visit the NYC Pride website. But don't check it out when the kiddies are around. One of the things they're proud of is redefining marriage. (Click on 2008 - 2013 to see the strides they've made in bringing same-sex marriage to reality!) Are you proud of that, Cardinal Dolan? And exactly how can the pro-sodomy parishioners "merge" with the traditional Catholics who keep the faith? Talk about strange bedfellows?

I would suspect the Jesuits are not under Dolan’s direct control, being an order among themselves and having their own “Black Pope” leader as he is called. I know the Jesuits in Milwaukee were not when he was Archbishop.

These are not your father’s Jesuits. If the Pope purged homosexuals from the clergy, the US order would probably disband.

You are quite correct. Neither the parish nor the high school of St. Francis Xavier come under the authority of Cardinal Dolan. They are under the authority of the Jesuit Province of NY State.I would assume the same for St. Francis of Assisi on 32nd Street. They would fall under the authority of the Franciscan Friars Minor. Xavier has for a long time been very welcoming of the homosexual community. My brother in law and his partner when they would have the family for Christmas Eve would attend services there as they lived about a half mile away. Even though I am a graduate of Xavier HS my wife and daughter and I would attend services at Epiphany parish on 2nd Avenue instead.

Whether or not Dolan is the Jesuits’ direct ecclesiastical superior, he still has the duty to preach and teach as well as set up direct public confrontations (”teachable moments”) if he wanted to. It’s not like he’s some little 12 year old soprano in the Schola Cantorum at Holy Innocents.

Sorry you are wrong. A Catholic bishop gives the final imprimatur to any activity in his diocese. If he deems an activity, community within his jurisdiction as contrary to church teaching or dogma, it is his duty to take definitive action. The Bishops have been reluctant to discipline the Jesuits. Suspect that the Jesuits know quite a bit about the dirty laundry n each diocese and would not be hesitant to share the information with the press or prosecutors if they feel threatened. The Jesuits have devolved into an unspeakable cabal. The biggest fraud is when hard pressed Catholic parents send their children to today’s Jesuit schools and assume they will receive a Catholic education.

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, San Francisco's Archbishop WILL march in the MARCH FOR MARRIAGE event in Washington D.C.

From (no colors)
SAN FRANCISCO – The Roman Catholic archbishop of San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone responding to a coalition of liberal politicians, fellow clergy and gay-rights leaders who are urging him to skip an upcoming March for Marriage event in Washington.

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone chairs the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' subcommittee on the promotion and defense of marriage and is one of the scheduled speakers at Thursday's march and rally.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is among the supporters of same-sex marriage who have asked Cordileone to cancel his appearance.

HUGE Bronx cheer for Pelosi!!!

The archbishop says in a letter his office made public Monday that it's his duty to uphold traditional views of marriage even if such views are unpopular.

He also challenged his critics to practice what they preach, writing that Americans who oppose same-sex unions have become targets of discrimination and intolerance.

I just LOVE it when the weight of the Catholic Church's 2000 years of following the LAWS OF GOD comes right down on these sad, pathetic Satan followers.
And I LOVE it when the SMART of these Church leaders SHINES practice what they preach. Harharhar.

GO GET'EM, Your Excellency!!

If I knew how to upload images I would upload the official

Oh well, I forgot after all the years being away from FR.

The Cardinal Archbishop of New York is not without the means to convey his desires and to give them weight.

Thanks for posting this NYer.

In addition to Cardinal Dolan and his own personal efforts to spread the "smoke of Satan" inside the Church of Jesus Christ (instead of the incense of prayers of the faithful), it seems that there are a whole lot of Jesuits who have also gone "way off the track" and exude that same stench of the stinky smoke of Satan.

Here are a couple of links related to that very serious problem with the Jesuits and their nefarious collaborators.

"A series of videos sponsored by the Jesuit Roman Catholic religious order, titled “Who are we to judge,” in reference to a comment made earlier this year by Pope Francis about homosexual priests, has come under fire for promoting the idea that there is no conflict between being a faithful Catholic and being an active homosexual."
(NOTE: Then Bishop, now Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone stood tall back then as well, as mentioned in the article.)

Cardinal Dolan: Pope Francis opened door to gay civil unions debate

Dolan, O'Malley, Maradiaga, Kasper, Volpi, Zollitsch etc., Pope Francis has really nestled himself up right in the snakes' den.
