A Response to Bill O'Reilly on Homosexuality and Marriage
http://cnsnews.com ^ | April 19, 2014 | Fr. Marcel Guarnizo

In recent weeks, Mr. Bill O'Reilly has reached his very large television and web site audience with several claims that more than "Bible thumping" will be required to defend marriage. He has stated that the battle to preserve marriage is in fact lost. He has reported that his libertarian position on the matter makes the defense of marriage irrelevant. And, further, he has implied that biblical teaching is unacceptable in the public square.

A little dated from last year, but a great article where a Catholic priest takes cafeteria catholic Bill O'Reilly to the woodshed for his attempt to justify homosexual "marriage".

The difference between the two shows is interesting.

O’Reilly is the reason for his show. He has guests on, only to tell them what he thinks, and therefore, what everyone else should think. He SO needs to get over himself. What a pompous ass.

Kelly, on the other hand, asks her guests questions and actually lets them respond. She will challenge them, but doesn’t tell them why they’re wrong and how they should think, even though she may be right. Having said that, I sure didn’t like how she spoke to Cheney the other night, unless she was just trying to come across as “fair and balanced”.

The battle to preserve marriage was lost with no fault divorce.

I stopped watching years ago. O’Reilly is more interested in being invited to the big parties in Washington. He wants to be part of the in crowd, so he has been slowly inching left for a long time. Sadly for him, his audience is waking and abandoning him. I’ve often read that people are former viewers. He’s toast.

Kelly is also a proponent of homosexual “marriage”, saying it’s a civil right. The only difference in her and O’Reilly is she’s better looking.

Who cares what pundit says this or what popular public poll says that concerning homosexual relations and its faux marriage tripe. The Bible is plainly clear on the topic.
We either choose with it or against it. Homosexual marriage is an abomination. If people choose it then so be it but we don’t have to give in to legalizing it as this corrupt culture is unwisely doing at warp speed.

Megyn Kelly is a big promoter of “gay marriage”. Am not impressed with her. O’Reilly is a ding-a-ling. He touts himself as middle of the road, but his ditzy stands on climate change and “gay marriage” are laughable. On the other hand, Bret Baier is possibly the most even-handed and civilized reporter on American TV. Brit Hume is another fairly solid talking head.

I hate to say it, but I think he’s right: I think the fight for traditional marriage is lost. It’s just a matter of time before all states make it legal.

Yep, I guess all is lost...

except where it matters:

Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers(K)nor men who have sex with men[a](L) 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers(M) will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were.(N) But you were washed,(O) you were sanctified,(P) you were justified(Q) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Is homosexuality punishment for something else...

the person or persons did?

32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death,(BJ) they not only continue to do these very things but also approve(BK) of those who practice them.

If we know it to be wrong and don’t say something...do we approve and deserve death?

Did Jesus approve the “Old Testament” laws? Yes.

Can he grant forgiveness? Yes.

How do we get forgiveness...Sinnner on the Cross prayer?

Had Jesus’ covenant/Testament gone into effect before his death?...or after...his death?

Men and brothers, what shall we do?

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”(AW)

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized,(AX) every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.(AY) And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(AZ) 39 The promise is for you and your children(BA) and for all who are far off(BB)—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Yes of course. When I say it's lost, I'm not speaking in matters of Truth.

...”Who cares what pundit says this or what popular public poll says that concerning homosexual relations and its faux marriage tripe. The Bible is plainly clear on the topic.”...

The Bible is clear. This is my view and I am close to four homosexuals in my very large family with only one who is militant. I fear for them for their homosexuality is not their only difference. They have successful careers and one has adopted a child, but all, in spite of being a part of a loving and accepting family have big psychological and other issues. One has had a huge substance and gambling abuse issue. They do not mix well in their non-homosexual relationships..They are not good at allowing others to have their personal freedom. My own belief is that 2-4% of our population is not going to rule eternally. Some event will happen to destroy political correctness and then Mother Nature will exert her power which is to have the strong gender order necessary for human survival. Since man and womankind began, human instinct for 96-98% of human beings is heterosexual reproduction and that instinct cannot be forced out of the human DNA. Dictatorship may force revisions or distort it in major ways, such as Hitler tried with his ideas of a superior race, but it will not stand long term. Group marriage, etc., will not stand either, because those people will not get along with one another enough to remain civilized. Hedonism will not stand. We hear of the unseen hand in economics..Well, I believe that Mother Nature, made by God, is an unseen hand, too, and that, over time, consequences will always reset the human experience back to what was originally intended.

They can’t rightly be called sane. They’re trading an eternity in heaven for a few short years of diseased depravity here on earth.

(CNSNews.com) – In response to a federal judge’s ruling that Wisconsin’s ban on homosexual marriage was unconstitutional, Bishop Robert Morlino, head of the Catholic diocese of Madison, Wisc., said the judge had “shaken one of the most precious and essential building blocks of our civilization,” and that when this “first ‘domino’ of civilization’” – man-woman marriage – is toppled, then “all subsequent ‘dominos’” of civilization fall.

The bishop also said that in felling this first domino, “everything that is good, true, and beautiful, which is rooted in the natural family, is seriously threatened.”

AMEN!!!

megyn kelly has been smoking o’really in the ratings lately.
a lot of people don’t understand how this phony has kept an audience all these years.

=========================================

O'Reilly stays on because he speaks for so many that the mainstream media ignores. A "lot of people" have their head in the ground, or in Kelly's britches.

Megyn Kelly ISN'T on the air because she is a GORGEOUS blonde with a FABULOUS smile. Oh no, not at all.

O'Reilly, the "phony" you spoke about, SMOKED the ratings when he was the ONE and ONLY conservative talking head around. Ms. Kelly was still playin' her sand box when O'Reilly was TROUNCING the big networks.

Kelly is smart and I like her but Greta Van Susteren is the one who really must be good since she was Ms. PlainJane from the get-go. She had to DAZZLE the network with her brain, not her blonde-ness and $25,000. smile

UNFORTUNATELY Ms.Kelly will get old and wrinkles will start to show. She WILL be off the air while OLD MAN REILLY will continue.
Networks allow for old men news casters but NOT old women news casters. That is just the way of the world.
Women can't moan about gender issues because now there are WOMEN producers. THEY figured it out: sex sells. So they go with the SAME flow that men did. Nothing has changed except the whining of women libbers has to SHIFT to a new soap opera to whine about.

You can BET that Fox is lining up the next "Ms. Kelly" as we write.
