We can hope he extends this to the organized crime mobs in America, too. Many American Catholic bishops often looked the other way in places such as Boston and New York because of the money coming into the dioceses which helped fund many of the needs of the communities provided by these families. No doubt, this may be why powerful Catholic politicians are allowed to carry on in spite of their blatant rejection of Catholic principles against abortion and homosexual “marriage”. We can hope that some teeth are behind these pronouncements and they don't just turn into merely pious-sounding words.
