Will Polygamy Be the Next Homosexuality?
The Gospel Herald ^ | June 20, 2014 | Leah Marieann Klett

As the battle for marriage equality rages on, a different, more obscure kind of sexual immorality is slowly rearing its ugly head: polygamy.

Polygamy is defined as the "the custom of having more than one wife or husband at the same time," a practice which directly violates the Biblical commandment instructing marriage to be between a single man and wife (1 Timothy 3:2, 12 and Titus 1:6).

However, the secular media is increasingly attempting to normalize, and even glamorize this kind of perverted lifestyle.

Showtime is airing an original series called Polyamory: Married & Dating, which follows two polyamorous families living in Southern California. The show follows in the footsteps of "Sister Wives," which shows a depicting a man "happily married" to three wives.

Most recently, NBC released a show called True Believers, in which viewers get an inside look into what it's like to "live with multiple partners without sacrificing the comforts of home." The producers get up close and person with five adults and a 9-year-old girl who see nothing amiss with their lifestyle.

Jennifer LeClaire, author of "The Making of a Prophet" calls the push for polygamy a "new level of debauchery," warning that it will soon follow in the footsteps of the homosexual agenda in becoming a national issue.

"The prince of the power of the air is using media to push a new level of debauchery to generations young and old," she writes. "ABC has preached the "gospel of polyamory" in its attempt to move past gay marriage into further destruction of God's plan for the family." "Slowly and steadily, the push for polyamory is rising in the media, in many ways taking a page from the gay agenda's playbook. Polyamory is already a legislative issue in Canada. Rest assured, America is next. The shadow of Sodom and Gomorrah hangs over America. Perversion is rising. Currently, polyamory is illegal in 21 states, but recent polls suggest that number may change. NBC reports that 5 percent of people in the United States are in polyamorous relationships and reveals there are over 900 in Atlanta's polyamory community. LeClaire warns against complacency, saying Christians have an obligation to protect God's plan for the family and protect the next generation. She encourages Christians to unite together and pray for the preservation of traditional marriage. "If we sit by and complain or stick our heads in the sand, arguing that Christians should not be discussing these issues, then we're admitting defeat and displeasing Christ. But if you believe that God can deliver some from the grip of immorality...then drop to your knees and join with me in intercessory prayer. It's not only about setting the captives free-it's about protecting the next generation of young minds the media is molding.

Polygamy
Pedophilia
Bestiality

The order does not matter. All will be pushed as part of the agenda. The Left will take whatever it can get. But the Left is relentless and expects to get all three, given enough time.

And after polygamy, comes paganism, and after paganism - human sacrifice beyond abortion and euthanasia.

Yup-as society unravels-we will get all kinds perversions. Then sharia law will take over and it will correct itself. But then we will be an Islamic state. Lose, lose.

Somehow, I don’t see pedophilia becoming mainstream. Unlike homosexual marriage, there aren’t any groups openly calling for it to become legal, there aren’t “pedophilia pride” parades, no politicians are running on it, and it’s apparently so disgusting that even prisoners in jail can’t stand such people. As perverted and stupid as society has become, I just can’t see it stooping even to that low level.

Now, incest between two adults, bestiality, polygamy...those are another story.

There have been several TV shows about polygamous groups, polyamorous people, throuples and such, the media has been on this for a while. The push is there, but is it the next one? I dunno.

40 years ago, there weren't any groups openly calling for the legalization of homosexual marriage. In fact, if you stated that increased normalization of homosexual behavior would lead to homosexual marriage, you were accused of being ridiculous and of mounting a dishonest argument.

then he puts the idols to pagan “gods” in the temple to the God of Israel ...

No doubt he did this to placate his foreign wives and concubines....

What could go wrong?

Warren Steed Jeffs (born December 3, 1955) is the president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS Church). In 2011, Jeffs was convicted of two felony counts of child sexual assault.

Jeffs gained international notoriety in May 2006 when he was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution on Utah state charges related to his alleged arrangement of illegal marriages between his adult male followers and underage girls. He was arrested in August 2006 in Nevada, and agreed to be taken to Utah for trial. In May and July 2007 the State of Arizona charged him with eight additional counts, including sexual conduct with minors and incest, in two separate cases.

His Utah trial, which began in early September 2007 in St. George, Utah, lasted less than a month, and on September 25 he was convicted of two counts of rape as an accomplice.

On November 20, 2007, he was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years to life and began serving his sentence at the Utah State Prison. However, the conviction was overturned by the Utah Supreme Court on July 27, 2010, because of incorrect jury instructions.

He was extradited to Texas, where he was found guilty of sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault of children in connection with a raid of an FLDS owned and occupied West Texas ranch in 2008. After the jury had deliberated for less than 30 minutes, 55-year-old Jeffs was sentenced to life in prison plus 20 years, to be served consecutively, and a $10,000 fine for sexual assault of both 12- and 15-year-old girls.

Polygamy has at least been an accepted form of marriage in many lands for thousands of years. It is arguably far less perverse than homosexuals pretending to marry. It is bizarre that our nation wants homosexuals to pretend they are married, but won’t allow polygamy. I’ve always wondered how American law treats the wives of those married in nations where polygamy is legal.

No, I don’t want polygamy legal either. But if I had to choose between legalizing it or homosexuals, I would come down on the side of King David instead of Sodom...

NAMBLA was making a pretty public push during some years, although they seem pretty quiet right now, and they got a little bit of support from the libertarians in recent years.

The gay movement was openly allowing them for a while but they seem to have felt that it was hurting their goal of mainstreaming the gay movement, but it is all waiting in the wings.

The courts rationale for homosexual marriage is very simple, if people love each other the state should not keep them from marrying. There is no rational basis from which to not apply the same rationale to polygamy. It, like homosexual marriage, is a done deal and if you don’t bake them three wedding cakes it is off to the re-education camps for you.
