BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) --Bond has been set for a Christian Radio Broadcaster arrested for allegedly paying for sex with a young boy.
35-year-old John Balyo is being held for first degree criminal sexual conduct but isn’t expected to be formally charged until Monday.
TV-3 reports that at a bond hearing early Saturday, bail was set at 500-thousand dollars.
On Friday, Balyo, of Caledonia, had been put on paid leave by Cornerstone University, the owners of WCSG radio in Grand Rapids, where Balyo had been the morning host of a “Family Friendly” radio show.
Saturday, the University released a new statement, saying that Balyo “was no longer affiliated with WCSG Radio”.
Officers from Battle Creek, State Police and Homeland Security arrested Balyo Friday at the “Big Ticket Festival”,a Christian Music event held in Gaylord.
Balyo apparently became a subject for investigation following the arrest and indictment of Ronald Moser of Battle Creek on federal child pornography charges.

There was a time in this country, and it was not too long ago, when sodomy was a crime and you were going to jail if you engaged in it. But if what he said was true, I believe he is written in the book of life. But if he was, as you point out, lying and just maniuplating others for his own gain/amusement, then he is not.

We are all hypocrites. Aren’t we? This man can still repent and come the the Lord. there are many false Christians who are in our churches, therefore their heart and lust has not changed. But if you think you are any better you are wrong. If you Lied, use God’s name in vain, stolen, murdered in your heart, disobeyed you’re parents,envied, has sex out of marriage you are a hater a God. But God can wash us all through Jesus Christ. Are you living your live for Christ everyday. I’m not either so we have to stay in the fight everyday minute of the day, not just Sunday. Make sure you house is in order before you beat up on this man. No one in God’s eyes in a good person, not even me, but I’m am wash and forgiven. I still fall along the way, but I walk back into the Lord’s light and keep on fighting.
The problem many people have is that why would god allow a child to suffer anal rape. You would think god the all powerful could prevent his no? Why bother praying to him at all? Pray hard enough and he’ll cure your sick child while turning a blind eye to another child getting raped.
