I think the 7 hills of Rome most likely came about as a description by Protestants, more than ancient history

While I believe the RCC is not Biblical, only a fool thinks the protestant world and including Baptists are not apostate in general

When it is a reaping of what we’ve sown, Godly people live...but when God is in the judgement...everyone goes down!

Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.
Col 1:19 For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.
Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in [your] mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:

The Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Christ.

I've seen MANY Catholics in these thread complain about 'alone' being placed somewhere in the bible by Luther.

Col 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.

And yet they have NO qualms about inserting CATHOLIC between these two highlighted words...

It's all about Jesus.

Not Jesus + (_________).

Jesus.

The body of Christ is the body of Christ and the body of Christ ≠ Catholicism.

The protestant has no business speaking of Islam. The Catholic Church was defending civilization from Muslims long before they came on the scene.

So? How can something that didn't exist be held accountable for not acting on something that happened prior to its existence. That's the absolute worst argument I've ever heard.

What do you think? That the Protestants who protested Roman Church corruption and strong arm tactics would have rolled over for the muslims?

I wish protestants would make up their minds. Are we being assimiliated or are we the assimilators, snuffing out the the will of the Holy Spirit by virture of our doctrinal autocracy.

You're assimilating the muslims? Exactly what change is that affecting on them? Point out the progress.

No, you guys are being compromised and destroyed from within, supported by your own CCC and popes. If you are so blinded by your loyalty to your church that you can't see that, you will not last long.

The muslims could not conquer Europe and the Catholic church by force, any more than they've been able to conquer the USA by force, so they have simply changed their tactics. They are conquering by infiltration and the evidence of that is by the acceptance of them in our country and the acceptance of them by YOUR church.

YOUR pope kissing the koran. Fits right in with YOUR Catechism of the Catholic church.

They are not the ones bowing in this picture.

"The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."330

I can see God making one last effort to spare people from the horrors of the tribulation, but am not sure of what Scriptural support there is for that.

What I initially thought would be a fairly quick occurrence once we hit the new millennium I perceive now that while it is at the doorstep, God is giving people plenty of opportunity and time to open their eyes and their hearts before it all takes place...

Catholics and Izlamaniacs worship the same God while Protestants are considered to be non Christians...

Considered by whom? Not by the Catholic Church. The same document everyone cites about Muslims says about Protestants:

The Church recognizes that in many ways she is linked with those who, being baptized, are honored with the name of Christian, though they do not profess the faith in its entirety or do not preserve unity of communion with the successor of Peter. (14*) For there are many who honor Sacred Scripture, taking it as a norm of belief and a pattern of life, and who show a sincere zeal. They lovingly believe in God the Father Almighty and in Christ, the Son of God and Saviour. (15*) They are consecrated by baptism, in which they are united with Christ. They also recognize and accept other sacraments within their own Churches or ecclesiastical communities. ... They also share with us in prayer and other spiritual benefits. Likewise we can say that in some real way they are joined with us in the Holy Spirit, for to them too He gives His gifts and graces whereby He is operative among them with His sanctifying power. Some indeed He has strengthened to the extent of the shedding of their blood.

When the pope gets on that throne in Jerusalem and has an ex-cathedra moment to tell us that Catholicism and Izlam are now united under God

... he will have committed formal, public apostasy, and will thereby cease to be Pope.

Well, with the way I see evil escalating, the lines are being drawn and people are choosing their side.

It may be more subtle than most people realize. The frog in the pot kind of thing.

At the time Revelation was written, Vatican hill was outside the city of Rome. The word in Rev translated “hills” actually means “mountains” anyway.

Perhaps to you...But how many would continue to follow him???

As far as your religion accepting Protestants, that has only been since Vatican 2 which you can see by the posts on these threads that many Catholics do not accept Vatican 2 when it comes to Protestants or much of anything else...

yes by the Catholic church. The CCC states that the RCC and muzzies worship the same God.

The gates of hell are prevailing against your *church* and you don't even know it. They could not conquer by force the first time around but now are infiltrating your church using the same means they are using to infiltrate and destroy western civilization.

You guys are not immune to it and if someone doesn't wake up and smell the coffee, your *church* is done.

And you all can't say it can't happen. Jesus didn't spare churches when they compromised. Read the first couple chapters of Revelation.

And as far as the alleged promise that Jesus was talking about Catholicism when He said HE would build His church, it's purely an assumption on your part that He meant you guys.

The RCC just made ti retroactive and claimed it was them He was talking about.

Guess again.....

Not Jesus + (_________).

This is a modern protestant novelty. There is no Jesus +. It is all Jesus. It is the external manifestation of a mode of thought that has been internalized based on individual preference.

So? How can something that didn't exist be held accountable for not acting on something that happened prior to its existence. That's the absolute worst argument I've ever heard.

It's not an argument. It's an observation. And one that should be kept in mind before someone proclaims that the Catholic Church is in league with the ummat al-islamiya. Blood was spilled. You wouldn't say, "so" to the blood spilled by American soldiers in defense of our liberty, would you? It's not unlike someone going all Oliver Stone/Howard Zinn/Noam Chomsky about the military being a tool of imperialism.

Perhaps its inherent in the post-modern protestant mind to view such events as 'ancient history' and because of that there is a lack of affinity or kinship.

No, you guys are being compromised and destroyed from within, supported by your own CCC and popes. If you are so blinded by your loyalty to your church that you can't see that, you will not last long.

Muslims worship the God of Abraham. As do Jews. Both reject Christ. Their understanding of the nature of God as Trinity is imperfect. Christ came for all, even those who "don't get it". That's all that says. So protestants can keep posting their 'mission accomplished' picture but it really underscores a level of immaturity that is not sufficient to deal with the Islamic threat.

Protestant pastors burning Koran's isn't going to solve it. American military might is not going to solve it. This will get done by God and through His Church. Just as it was done by Our Lady of Guadalupe in Central and South America and now being done in Africa and Asia. Protestantism doesn't help the matter by dividing the Body of Christ and the Church Militant and in doing so, sowing confusion. Which has allowed Islam to make gains in Europe because of their solas .

We can post #841 over and over and over and the FRoman Catholics just don’t get it. They will be the only ones surprised when they get lined up by their little Muzzie buddies to have their heads lopped off.

Christ founded the Church right after his Resurrection as he breathed on the Apostles and made the first bishops to forgive and bind sin.

I find it puzzling that Non-Catholics selectively do not believe this from the Bible.

Where are the words *Catholic church* found in Scripture to validate your church's claim that IT is the church that Jesus founded?
