20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

"As in The Days of Noah" is a term that appears a number of times in the New Testament. Jesus uses this phrase to describe the condition of the world just before The End, and it symbolizes widespread degenerate decadence that will culminate in the destruction of the world.

In this instance, Peter speaks of the cleansing power of the flood waters, and compares it to Baptism. It is interesting that, as the world sinks deeper and deeper into the condition that brought about the Flood, one of the largest purveyors of filth (Hollywood) decided to make a highly inaccurate and agenda-driven movie about...you guessed it...Noah!
